As regular visitors we always enjoy Slaley Hall.
The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, from a warm welcome at Reception to check out.
The staff are all very pleasant and helpful.
The facilities are good, as are the food and rooms.
The location is good, perhaps the only downside is a lack of signage from the road for new visitors.

We arrived early and our room was ready.
The spa facilities were adequate. Only comment is some update needed to the rock effect around the pool.
The food in the Clarets jug was fine. Dessert bit disappointing.
The staff very friendly and Neville not sure his title but was a perfect gentleman. He transported our luggage to and from our bedroom with no effort. Neville was very polite and friendly. Hope to see him next time we visit.

Room and facilities were spotless. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. I especially liked the spa treatment I received as part of a package; I opted for a scalp, neck and shoulder massage and I felt like a new person afterwards, the woman doing it even threw in a facial for free! There were a couple of issues here and there (mainly the dinner service being a bit slow for my liking) but they were so small I'd feel like I was splitting hairs if I were to mention them. Overall great value for money.

Spent an overnight with friends. Great rooms, comfortable beds. A bit disorganised in the restaurant, didn’t appear to be enough staff, got dessert eventually which had melted .

Just tried to book the restaurant. After lot of trouble I managed to ring hotel reception. After selecting option 5 I was put on hold. I gave up after about 15minutes. This was early evening! Not impressed. Now I can’t submit this until I get to 200 characters!!

Hotel was nice and rooms where large and clean however a wedding and golf group made it loud and hard to sleep at night. The spa was very nice and clean. The food was terrible, very unorganised and very over priced. The drinks are very over priced too.

Lovely grounds all be it raining.
Renovations are currently under way however furniture still a little tired in rooms.
The hotel overall is clean and welcoming, the staff are attentive and service was excellent.throughout.
The spa was lovely .

A comfortable 2 night stay, with the luck of good weather. Lovely golf course to walk around as neither of us play golf. Gave us a feel for the area. Extensive terrace to relax near the bar and a great breakfast with loads of choice. Hexam is a lovely market town to visit.

I did not consider it was up to the standard of a 4* hotel. I should have been forewarned by the significant number of potholes in the driveway up to the hotel. There were no glasses in the room, no soap dish in the bathroom, and no miniature shampoo and conditioner sets, so not able to wash my hair without having to stand up in the bath to reach the dispenser. The morning tea mugs were not washed on a daily basis, and on one occasion one mug had been washed but the other one left with some cold tea in it. The Claret Jug restaurant was good, but cancelled with no notice one evening for our 7.15 pm meal, so we were transferred to the main restaurant. The main course finally arrived at 9.15 pm, but there were several inaccuracies in the order. The grounds were lovely in a great setting, the staff were pleasant and helpful, but my overall feeling was one of disappointment.
