Nowhere in the listing does it mention that this property is a college dorm suite, not an actual apar**ent. It served the purpose of a place to sleep but was not what I thought I was getting.

I stayed there for a month and have been so disappointed by the service. Firstly my room was given to me in a dreadful state and I spent a whole day cleaning just to put my stuff in. Not to talk about the kitchen which had faulty plugs that tripped the safety switch leaving us without any power in the whole apar**ent. The laundrette is actually alright, quite pricy and sometimes the power goes so you might be left with soggy clothes (has happened to me). The reception is rather disorganised and they do give you conflicting information trying to take advantage of you. As long as you are super careful you should be fine.

Stayed in a non-ensuite room as a student or the academic year. The staff there are generally very helpful, especially the receptionist and security. But that's about it for positives. Had endless problems with the apar**ent, such as the freezer and fridge being broken/not working and not being replaced for just over two weeks. The living area is pretty bare. In mine, the coating of the furniture kept peeling off by itself. Our emersion went one week and we had no warm water or heating for around 3-5 days, around the same time the electricity went too and our freezer completely defrosted. The room I was staying in was pretty cramped, but I had the non-ensuite so I knew what I was getting myself into I suppose. The one positive about this place was that if there were problems, they were on the whole responded to in good time, except for the experience of not having a working fridge for over 2 weeks. If I was to sum up the place as a whole it would be outdated and overpriced. Not worth the price tag in my opinion.

Stay was ok. Very friendly and helpful staff but unfortunately the cleaning dose require to be upped as it was poor.

Spacious apar**ent with kitchen. The microwave and stove top worked but we couldn’t get the oven to work. Shower stall in each bedroom but the shower is very tiny. My husband could not close the shower door when he used it.

We enjoyed our stay at Victoria Lodge - assigned a dorm pod in building A at the back of the complex. Common areas -- kitchen , sitting and hallways were very clean. We used 2 of the bedrooms with attached bathrooms out of a dorm pod of 4 student rooms and they were very clean as well. The bedrooms are comfortably set up with bed linen and towels - all clean and tidy. Kieran and his team were very kind and professional ; was receptive and responded promptly when made aware of a couple of very minor issues that were brought to his attention. This was ideal for our stay during ongoing Covid pandemic - we had the entire 4 person dorm pod to ourselves including a kitchen and eating area. This allowed us to cook on our own or bring in takeout to eat in a relaxed home environment. The kitchen equipment, cutlery and dishes provided were all clean as well. We did not have a vehicle for this trip, but there was lots of parking space. Bus stop 208 to downtown Cork is just outside the gates of Victoria Lodge and it runs every 10 minutes or cross the street and go in the other direction to Wilton Shopping Complex.
