I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husband 50th birthday. I must say we had a fabulous time. The birthday plate in the room was a nice touch. Great food and service in the bar and restaurant. The adult only spa area is outstanding, our son also enjoyed the leisure center.

We had an excellent stay. The hotel is great and all staff were superb, we could not fault it in any way. We were also lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside and enjoy a drink in the beautiful gardens.

we have spent three days in this beautiful hotel. The room was great, the bed amazing, the breakfast delicious as there was a menu we could choose the warm breakfast, the staff was always very friendly, helpful and professional. The garden around very beautiful. A bus station directly at the hotel, perfect!

I have spent around 100 nights at the Maryborough Hotel over the past 2 years travelling for work, and I will never grow tired of this amazing hotel. Idyllic location, lovely blend of the original old house and the contemporary comfortable rooms, scenic well-kept gardens, and a relaxing environment throughout. The food in both the bar and restaurant is excellent and well-priced. The spa is always a highlight of each trip, well worth a visit for jacuzzi, sauna, steamroom and more. And I can't say enough about all of the great staff, everyone is friendly, welcoming, helpful and no request is too much much for them (particular praise for Johannes on the front desk). Highly recommend the Maryborough Hotel for anyone staying in Cork. Thanks to the staff for all of the lovely visits and more to come.

Overall this was a gorgeous stay. Our room had beautiful views and was newly painted. I feel that a vent in the bathroom was needed as the steam fogged the mirrors and came into the room. The bed was super comfortable and we loved having a couch to relax on by day. The upstairs spa pool facilities were amazing! We wish we had been told about them on arrival. The dinner and drinks were so nice. My husband ordered a mains he thought was tasteless and the manager kindly allowed him to order something new and gave his feedback to the chef. They kindly made the dessert a birthday one with chocolate writing and a candle. The staff were so nice there. The gardens are beautiful to walk around. It was a gorgeous break away.
