Dunmore House Hotel

Overall this hotel is second to none. Warm welcome, efficient friendly service. Incredibly relaxing ambience. The food was outstanding. The only problem was that I had to go home. No notions here, just West Cork at it's finest.

Amazing views and newly renovated, but not within walking distance of town. I had a nice walk on the stony beach watching the waves come in. There was a GREAT Irish breakfast included in my rate which was very reasonable in April of 2024. Nice staff including housekeeping and maintenance (I had a small issue with the light in the bathroom which they fixed quickly)

Delightful stay. Hotel was impeccably clean and freshly painted. Great selection for breakfast and food was delicious. Room was beautifully decorated and shower and shower products were fabulous. Staff very accommodating and very friendly.

The friendly staff, made me so welcome as a solo traveller! Plus I thoroughly enjoyed my very tasty breakast.. staff went over and beyond..offering so many cooked breakfast choices. So nicely presented. Very high standards indeed. And as for the hotel setting.. overlooking the bay..good value for money!! you couldnt ask for more!!

Welcoming and beautiful. Like home with hotel service. I'd be happy to go alone. Decor is restful and classy. Furniture very comfortable. Every window is a picture and owner's love of art is all on display. Reeks quality and attention to detail. Then...the food was excellent but a tad sorry the seafood was scarce at this time. Room was perfect. Views magical and can't wait for my next visit. I bet same loyal staff will be there. Says a lot for the family.

A beautiful hotel and such attentive staff at Dunmore House Hotel made our stay a wonderful experience. Food (breakfast and dinner) was lovely and in such a relaxed setting with wonderful sea views. We plan to return with family during the summer. Thank you all.

Lovely family run hotel in a spectacular location. Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms were very warm and the view was stunning. Loads of nice beaches very close and great for surfing. Some nice scenic walks and easy hikes. Close to the town.

My wife and I and our adult son stayed here on New Year's Eve. It was our third time staying in this hotel and our experience was again a 5 Star experience. As before, the ambience, the warmth and welcome were top class. The food in the bar was so well presented and tasted delicious. Even though the staff were under pressure with numbers, the service was prompt. We were fortunate to have a sea facing room on the third floor. As mentioned in previous reviews, the room was tastefully decorated and not generic like in other hotels. Special mention goes to the piano player who entertained us in the lobby . He played the most fantastic music, such as Billy Joel, Dan Fogleberg, Elaine Paige, Barbara Dickson and many other favourites. His name was Thomas Hasford from Dunmanway. He was such a talented musician. Thanks Thomas! Something new that we discovered was dogs are welcome in the hotel. We met two couples who had their dogs with them . Compliments also to Aine in reception who was helpful, pleasant and welcoming. As always the proprietor also had a few friendly words for us. Please consider visiting this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
