Because we have two children, we were upgraded to a deluxe suite with two single beds for an additional 35 euros. It was so cute. The hotel is huge and the environment is super beautiful. Children can also rent bicycles for free and watch ponies. Apart from the relatively remote location, there are no disadvantages and it’s very cost-effective!

I had a great stay in Castlemartyr last weekend. We stayed in a 3 bedroom house on the property to celebrate an event with my friends. The houses were fantastic & had everything you could want in them including complimentary Bread, milk & cheese & butter. We also had food in the hotel & the service & quality was 5 star. The only one negative about the stay was the Spa, the jacuzzi needs to be properly cleaned & it smelled really bad & the surround needs to be fixed as I cut my toe on the broken surround and had to leave the spa early which ruin my stay a bit. The pool, sauna & steam room were great.

From the minute we booked the staff were attentive and helpful, sincerely wanting us to enjoy our stay. Weather was not too kind for our stay making the Canopy Restaurant a bit on the cool side for our evening meal and breakfast. But regardless we enjoyed our stay a d look forward to our next visit.

Lovely drive through the grounds up to the hotel, and a beautiful lobby on arrival. Rooms were spacious and very well presented. I needed to work while I was there and this was helped by strong wi-fi and a spacious desk & work area in the room. Staff were great with our kids, particularly in the Canopy restaurant. All bars were warm & comfortable, and Knight's bar was particularly cosy. We also spent an evening in the Hunted Hog, which was lovely - and the courtesy car was a nice touch. Coming from Leinster, being able to get a decent pint of Murphys was a nice treat! Overall a wonderful stay, looking forward to the return visit.

Spent one night here with three family members and it was truly a most lovely experience. From the money we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff were so friendly yet low key. The rooms were luxurious. The grounds were inviting, despite Storm Kathleen, we managed a lovely walk with many interesting features. A real gem of a getaway to reconnect and recharge.

Little hiccup as we arrived with the room but staff were brilliant in sorting it out and gave us an upgrade and a complimentary drink so can’t fault them…. The rest of the stay was first class…. I will be back:)

Thoroughly enjoyed our break away. Although we have visited before, it was our first time with a toddler. The bedroom room options, Easter activities, swimming pool and children’s menu in the Canopy restaurant made our family trip a great success.

If you haven’t been to Castlemartyr then you should go; it's an exclusive, luxurious hotel. If you want to treat yourself to an amazing experience then its the place to stay. The hotel is tastefully decorated with a mix of the old parts of the hotel mixed tastefully with the modern. The rooms are beautifully appointed really lovely and oozing class. The food is of the highest quality and truly amazing. The staff are really excellent.
