Hillview Cottages

We went to Kingaroy for the Labour Day long weekend and stayed at Hillview Cottages. We stayed in a particularly quirky little cottage known as “The Church.” According to our host, the cottage was originally a church in the nearby little community of Memerambi. The cottage was incredibly peaceful with beautiful scenery looking towards the Wondai State Forest. It had everything you could need including a spacious living area, kitchen and bathroom that included a spa. Continental breakfast was included and there was no shortage of food to get the day off to a great start. We stayed for two nights and could easily have stayed for longer. There are numerous things to do in and around Kingaroy and Hillview Cottages is a great spot to launch out from. The cottages are located a little outside of the town but that adds to the charm. We will certainly be back! Thanks to Sheralyn and Dan for their hospitality.

Trying to work out what exactly made this such a special stay. Was it the incredibly warm welcome from our host, was it the themed cottage, was it the sunset or was it the friendly wave from the farm next door as they went about their afternoon chores? Or maybe it was the local port left as a sampler for after dinner or the spa bath overlooking the sunset. I think everything. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you are wanting to get away from it all. We stayed in the one bedroom cottage and it was perfect for us.

Our stay at hillview cottages in The Cottage was so relaxing refreshing serene quiet just a beautiful spot to unwind and destress from everyday life. We didn’t want to leave but we will definitely return to stay longer next time.

A fantastic place to unwind and relax. Beautiful picturesque setting with great views and an abundance of wildlife. Well worth a visit and looking forward to going again.

Safe, Quiet and close to town, the scenery is breathtaking, large deck is great to hang out on and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Idyllic country vista stretching for miles, cosy accommodation (we took The Church, The Dairy and the Cottage for 3 nights for family of adults and children), plenty of food for breakfast and Dan ensured we had sufficient wood for inside fires and the outside fire pit so the children could roast marshmallows in the evening. Dan also took the time to show the children the chickens and cows and let them help with getting kindling for the fires. Wonderful hosts and we can't wait for another stay!

A lovely property with a beautiful view of the farms below. There was everything you could ever need in the cottage. We had a wonderful family stay.

Very lovely stay whilst away for a business trip. Beautiful view to come back to after work and comfortable. Would recommend
