To start after placing deposit found out that the ram/sheep where no longer available for hunting, then within a few weeks of trip found out mule deer were not available to hunt and very scarce, so this left our crew of 3 with only one option for whitetale and of course none of those showed up either. Advertisement on website did not reflect this. So 15,000$ (just for the accommodations and hunt) later 3 men and not kills. The lodge only offered us a 500$ credit per hunter, that did not even cover cost to travel to them. The wording used in all conversations was as if it was a sure thing. example: "once the guys get their deer the can predator hunt the remaining time if they like". I do want to say the place was beautiful per the guys and the owners were very nice people. Just not sure this place should be advertised as a place for Trophys hunts @5000+license, tips etc. We did not want to pay for a vacation at a lodge we wanted a unique hunting experience.

A group of 6 of us just got back from a 2-day/3-night hunt. We would all do this again! Mitch, Roxy, Emily, JD, and the dogs were consistently great. All boxes checked, all expectations met. They've been doing this for a while, so they anticipate well. A plus was watching the elk and bison from the lodge window with spotting scopes.

As an amateur astronomer, I'm always looking for dark sky locations for astrophotography. The lodge sits on a hilltop a few miles from the nearest town, no pole lights and almost no sky glow from nearby towns. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Terrific accommodations and food. Bar and wine tastings offered were top notch. Mitch and Rox are "hands on" owners who really strive to create a terrific atmosphere for guests. We also had two elk hunts during our stay and the quality of animals hunted and how they were process directly at their nearby processing unit / facility in Sargent are unsurpassed. Comstock Lodge is an 11 out of 10 rating!

Just back from an outstanding experience at Comstock Lodge. Went with three college grad school classmates for a "mini reunion" and pheasant hunt. The hosts are terrific people--Mitch, Roxanne, and Emily --could not be more gracious and welcoming. Accommodations are first rate, and the meals (Emily is a great chef) were superb. The pheasant were flying and their two dogs, Deuce and Gracie, did a fantastic job, worked hard, and kept us in the pheasants all day. This is a really neat place for family and/or friends to gather....the scenery around the lodge is lovely as well.

Outstanding! Our first hunt on this wonderful ranch — and we have already signed up to return same time next year! Four of us spent three nights and hunted two days the first part of November. Owners Mitch and Roxanne couldn’t have been nicer. Both were very knowledgeable and accommodating to our every request. They have great property on which to hunt “naturally”, superbly trained dogs and an abundance of pheasant! That’s the main event — but accommodations and food were excellent as well. Emily is a real gourmet chef! The four of us have done a lot of hunting over the past 55 years — including quite a few far pricier operations. But none have been as enjoyable as Comstock’s!

The Lodge was beautiful! Our room was very nice, and comfortable. The owners were great and very personable. The homemade breakfast was a great way to start the day!

We had an amazing time at this lodge! The property is absolutely beautiful and the owners are so helpful and friendly! Breakfast in the morning was delicious; we enjoyed our stay here very much!
