Venus Royale Hotel Coron Reviews

Hotel was nice, cozy and with a nice pool. Since we didn't get right room, stuff offered us room by the pool and we were thrilled about that change because pool was so relaxing and without crowds. Breakfast is nice and tasty with great view. Service stuff helped us a lot with things we needed and also they were really polite. Even hotel manager approved extra need we had. Really good service but you need to book a ride to the Coron town centre every time. All in all, I'm recommending to get this hotel because even price is more than expectable. And you will be surprised by helpfulness of the stuff and their manager.

Very clean, charming, modern and luxurious hotel. You can tell it's new. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the equipment was perfect and the bathroom had everything you needed, the taps and showers have a good flow of water (which is a change from other hotels in the Philippines that we have seen). The staff are very attentive and the rooms are cleaned every day. In addition, the location is clearly not a disadvantage, I even find it advantageous and avoids being in the noise of the city centre, tutuc transport in only 5-10 minutes and there is a scooter rental in front super good. I don't understand the bad reviews, because I think it's one of the best hotels I've tried in the Philippines. I recommend it!

I would go on record as saying that Venus Royale is possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever had on holiday. The housekeeping staff were very friendly, and the hotel looks the part, but the main gripe, which for me was unforgivable was the inability to provide hot water. The showers ran cold the entire day we stayed there, and the maintenance and front-desk staff didn't seem to really care. My wife was ill, with a fever, so needed at least a warm shower. It took three hours and about 5 calls to the desk to get someone to look at the problem (allegedly maintenance checked the boiler), but at no point did anyone come to the room to look. I was offered another room to test (room 101, ironically) which smelled like mould and damp, and the shower was still cold. "That's as hot as it gets." I booked somewhere else for the next day, and the hotel refused any kind of refund for the three days we didn't take up. I'd avoid this place. Ended up staying at The Funny Lion, which was a thousand times better, the staff were accomodating, friendly, and had actual hot water.
