As a Marriott Lifetime Silver Elite member and Platinum for ten years, I am deeply disappointed and frustrated to report a distressing experience at the Marriott Courtyard in Corvallis. On the day of my arrival, I received a call from the front desk manager, Katie, informing me of a sudden rate increase. Despite my previous confirmations of the rate, including earlier that same day, Katie insisted on this change, citing an unfamiliar policy and telling me I could “accept the new rate or find another hotel.” This unprofessional approach and blatant disregard for confirmed reservations have not only inconvenienced me but also shaken my trust in a brand I once held in high regard. Regrettably, this experience has led me to decide against staying at this location again and has impacted my overall loyalty to Marriott. I advise caution to potential guests of the Marriott Courtyard in Corvallis, as the reliability of their booking commitments appears questionable. Marriott must address such issues to maintain trust and uphold their standards of customer service.
