Hilton Garden Inn Corvallis

Nice clean spacious room. Had good sleep but only AC QUITE LOUD.

The property was clean and the staff were friendly. It was in a convenient location. I would definitely stay there again.

I'm giving this place 3.5 out of 5 stars. Yes, it's a lovely hotel since it's a Hilton. The staff are all very courteous, inc. the restaurant staff. The place is new, so the lobby and rooms are all very nice. I'd stay here again simply bc of the location (literally next to the college campus). The 3.5 fair rating is bc of (1) parking fee (not a lot but still), (2) very low shower water pressure, (3) though the room has lots of lamps and lights, it's still poorly lit, (4) it's common for hotels to skip housekeeping services nowadays, this one included. It's not even a by-request, it's a policy. And (5) there's limited hot breakfast selection. There's only scrambled eggs and turkey sausage links for protein. The fruit mix is fine but not sweet. The waffles are premade and lukewarm. The potatoes are good, and there's a good selection for continental breakfast.

If visiting OSU and convenient location to campus is your primary concern, this place is it. Don’t expect anything else. The $18.00 per night breakfast charge is represented at the property as a “complimentary breakfast”. Usually complimentary means it’s free or included in the room price, not an extra charge. The WiFi, that’s free… if you join their club. Don’t bring a car, unless you want to pay $10/night to keep in there. Housekeeping… that only comes every OTHER day, so don’t expect to come back from your busy OSU visit to a made-up bed and clean towels. Oh, you thought you’d enjoy the jacuzzi for 30 mins before bed (posted 10PM close). Forget that too… the housekeeper that didn’t clean your room will be promptly closing the pool at 9:50PM for cleaning. Breakfast hours are advertised (6:00-10:00a). So, the next morning, you stroll down to enjoy the “complimentary” breakfast (that you paid for) and arrive at 8:55 only to find half of the hot food items are empty. Completely gone. The staff member behind the counter informs you that he wasn’t planning to keep it full because “breakfast is almost over.” Hmm… so during 25% of the posted breakfast hours, the buffet may be empty. Of course, they could make a special batch, if you want to wait around. Overall, the staff are friendly enough, but clearly management is looking to cut every possible corner, cut every service, and charge extra for every amenity that most properties include in the room price.

My only surprise was that breakfast wasn't free. It was only $14.95, though, so no biggie, but it's usually free at other Hiltons.

The room was clean and staff were nice. Breakfast is not included although a portion of it is what would be considered typical for a continental breakfast bar. The shower was not great… and a lottttt of sound carries through into the rooms. I could hear the elevator and guests easily in other rooms. Great location though.
