GF Fanabe

Regular stay for my birthday for last 10 years, plus numerous times in between. Disappointed after emailing so far in advance not to get our preferred room and floor. (Especially as we don’t even request pool or sea views like so many other guests!) Did get moved next day somewhere near but took shine off it. We still had a fabulous time and had a great stay at the Fanabe but might look elsewhere for next year as loyalty doesn’t seem count 👎

We had a lovely stay at GF FAÑABÉ.

This hotel is not four star. Ill start with the very few pro’s we could muster together. The staff are mostly really nice. The entertainment of a night was good, especially the michael jackson show and the magician. The music they play in the hall / around the pool has some good songs. The Cons: The hotel is outdated and dirty, parts of the hotel are falling to bits. The rooms are dated and the air con just pumps out warm air and leaves you with a sore throat. The balcony lights turn off at 12? So god forbid you want to have a drink on the balcony past 12 you need to use a torch. The beds are 2 single beds pushed together and there super uncomfy, I woke up with back ache every day. The TV is tiny, no chance of any english channels. The all inclusive is simply a joke, the buffae is AWFUL the food was mostly inedible, its the same choices, breakfast, lunch and tea. We ate out every night and at lunch. The majority of the decent drinks are not included in the all inclusive so expect to fork out for nice drinks. The cocktails that are included are the cheap ones that usually give you acid reflux the minute you drink them. The ‘snack’ bar, once again only certain foods aloud on the all inclusive, the burger tasted like rubber, the hotdog was vile, the chips were ok Ill give them that. The pool was chocker every day and not near enough sun beds spaces, the pool on the rooftop is tiny. The lifts feel as though your taking your life in there hands, the lifts are old shaky and anxiety inducing. Finally the location is not great its a twenty minute walk to the main part and mostly uphill. You have to pay to play pool, €2 a game which is a rip off. Speaking of rip offs the all inclusive finishes at 12. they then charge €4.50 for a pint, you can get a pint outside the hotel for €1. Don’t waste your money and book a different hotel. We wish we could have stayed somewhere else, for the price you pay your getting robbed. The hotel was such a let down, you couldn’t pay me to stay again.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Yes it is a bit dated but that is reflected on the price and it is good value. Our only disappoin**ent was with the lack of choice for all inclusive customers at the snack hut and there was no clear information given about what drinks were free. We have no problems recommending this hotel but if this small problem was sorted it would be 5 stars from us! The staff are brilliant and are very friendly and helpful and thanks for a great time

We had lovely stay.Entertainment and activities for all age group. Near to the beach. Breakfast was good. Dinner was ok, limited options for vegetarians. It would have been good if there were few more vegetarian dishes ever day. and salads and veg food needs to arranged separately. Bedding were good had good sleep. We had road facing room which we felt was best. Hotel needs refurbishment. Easy access to public transport. over all very good stay will definitely go back.

Back from an unbelievable stay at this hotel. I don't normally like writing reviews but felt compelled to due to the fact how friendly and welcome the staff have made me feel while staying here. Everyone from the bar staff, restaurant, animation team and cleaners. Okay this hotel may look 'dated' compared to other hotels in the area, however the service and friendliness of staff more than makes up for it. Entertainment caters for all aged and I purchased an All Inclusive upgrade through reception after my 1st day which worked out much cheaper than doin it with a certain budget holiday website. Don't normally like staying in hotels a 2nd time but will happily be booking to stay here again next year. Also this hotel is very accommodating to children with additional needs which is another reason why me and family will be returning

Excellent stay in the GF FANABE. Delighted firstly by the service from Jet2. Staff at the hotel are super. Our room and the whole complex are cleaned to a superb standard. Our room, 152 has a balcony that looks out over the outdoor seating area and entertainment area so we had an excellent view of each night's entertainment. Entertainment was super for most nights - the lad performing on Thurs afternoon had the whole audience in his hand. Breakfast was the best in terms of choice and freshness of food. Some evenings, there the choices didn't suit us too well but we are not paying a great deal so it's not a complaint. Pool area had plenty beds and pool was good. Pool bar had a good range of snacks and drinks. We have loved our stay and will definitely return. Regarding our room: it suited us perfectly as we enjoyed the entertainment and didn't mind hearing voices from those sitting outside into the early hours. If you like a quiet room - leave this one for us!

We had a lovely stay in February. The staff were exceptional, always friendly. The choice at breakfast was huge and freshly prepared.
