Having waited 25 years to sample the delights of the Bahai Del Duque it surpassed our wildest dreams. Breath taking architecture, amazing views out to see and equally amazing looking back from the sea, village life reminiscent of both the Amalfi Coast and Pot Merion. The glory of this hotel does not stop at views, the staff are ambassadors for the hotel and the service they produce for guests is second to none, Ismael at breakfast was one that stood out in the crowd with his impeccable service to all around us. Surrounded by eight restaurants ranging from Michelin star to amazing sea food at the Beach Club serve up taste delights, we sampled five during our five nights with the fish getting double billing! El Bernegal with its world beating breakfast selection and service, Beach Club with its superb at the table fish preparation and delivery, La Tratoria with Italian food to suit all, Sua with steak to die for and La Hacienda serving Mexican charm. Given the elevation of the hotel a buggy transport is on hand to ship you around and save that energy for enjoying the four pools, two salt water and two fresh water, one of which is heated and In addition the kids have there own pool. We were lucky to be upgraded to a one bedroom suite, which we could quite easily have lived in, it was spotless and would compete with any luxury new build, massive lounge, luxury bedroom with a bed the side of a paddle board court and a wonderful bathroom, service to our room was impeccable and with Molten Brown soaps throughout what more could you ask for. In all honesty I don’t think there a better hotel in Spain and possibly the world where you will get so spoiled, the hotel is now upgrading rooms in large numbers not that you would notice unless told, we used a courtesy room to shower prior to leaving and both the room and view from its balcony were breathtaking. We will definitely return and thank you to everyone involved in making our stay so special.
