We stayed at the Blue bay on April 27th for 6 nights and we had a good time. Here’s my review. - Check in 15:00 had to wait 3hrs but could use pool bar: Check out 12:00 - would expect a quicker turn around especially with guests checking out much earlier. - Toilets out of order at the pool bar and not the cleanest. Chairs broke at the pool bar also, could do with a refresh. The Room - - Fine, kitchen facilities - so can self cater. - Thin walls can hear people in the next room, thankfully our neighbors are who travelled with us. Staff are all very nice and friendly. Gym - More than adequate. Area near the reception would be nice to be open on a night with the bar and light music, slightly on the chilly side on an evening. So for those who don’t want loud music in the theatre hall and sit outside. Towels changed every three days and no cleaning on Wednesdays Fine for the money we paid, wouldn’t paid much more. Charge for the iron €3 a day, using an external company. But it was an iron from George Asda 🤣 Cocktails very thick syrup like, Amstel on draught which is good. Wines - not great at all, I had a sip on the first night and that was it for the whole holiday. Food is average, not much selection, always something half decent on the grill bit and that changes every night. Most food was a good temperature. No soft drinks Coke Zero etc available at breakfast. Entertainment, fine for families. Very loud music - couldn’t tolerate more than an hour each night before bed. My rating based on £497 package holiday with flights and transfers with Jet2 is 5/10. Not because it’s bad, but it lacks certain things I’d look for on holiday. Defo a budget holiday, great for families. I wouldn’t return, but had a lovely time.

This place was OK overall, the food though i found not very good, most staff were friendly enough except for the blond woman on reception who was probably the rudest person i have ever met working in hospitality. The animation team did a good job,Julia was very friendly.I was ill with sickness and diahorrea for a day or so but fair play to the Jet2 rep and hotel management who came up to my room to see if i was ok as some friends i had made were a bit worried as they had not seen me about, this place has the potential to be very good

The hotel itself was okay, the staff were nice, some of them obviously didn’t quite enjoy their jobs but reception were always happy to help. The room was fairly clean with the basics however the shower head was damaged which never got fixed. Although the cleaners came in daily you didn’t really get that fresh clean smell as you walked back in so made me wonder what they actually did. The beds are terrible to sleep on and the third bed provided was broken and old. The dining chairs had some questionable marks on them. The air con was great though. Around the pool was fine but the actual pool was freezing and could also do with being repainted as there is a lot of the paint missing, the slide was out of action as well. One of the life guards I wouldn’t really trust to save anyone as he spent most of the time eating plate after plate of food. The entertaining at night was okay but felt a little bit like it was organised chaos at times. The food - breakfast was fine however found that they would wind it down too early so not always a great deal left. Lunch - a lot of the same foods which was fine but ended up going out for some lunches. Snack bar - the first couple of days we found that the birds were enjoying the food as well as people but overall it was okay but could do with being refreshed a bit more. Evening food - after 2 nights we decided to go out every other night as just found the food a little too repetitive however the food was cooked well and some variety. We also found that as the half term was coming in the food variety did improve but this should be the case all year round really.

We was a bit concerned reading the reviews on here but previously came to this hotel in 2019, back then there was also very mixed reviews but we had a good holiday. This time round the same it’s a good value hotel for a 3 star. Yes the dining room chairs and the rooms could do with a refurbish, but that a side the hotel itself and our room was clean. Food wise there is always something to eat, lots of choice and breakfast in particular is good. Pool area is really good for kids, with inflatables allowed which really helps keep the kids happy and all of the staff seemed pleasant. The entertainment team work hard to keep the kids occupied in the day and there is always something on in the evenings, mini disco etc. However this is mostly ideally suited for younger families. Location is also good about a 15 min walk to Costa Teguise main square. Overall we had a really good time and the hotel remains good value for the money we paid.

Good hotel, pool area really good very family friendly, food I would say good always something for everyone from the grill fish ribs pork chicken, to pasta to pizza to salad. Staff were good but not as friendly as most other hotels ive been in except reception staff and entertainment team tgey were great always something to do archery tennis and loads of other games, foam party every wednesday was fun. Evening entertainment was good but venue not a big place for size of hotel tables went quite quickly and it wasn't height of season. There was a gym it had just enough to get by for a week free weights and a few machines. 15 minute walk to costa teguise was a nice walk or 30 mins if you go by the sea. Few Negatives No lifts upto rooms and some are on floor 3 so cases have to be carried up by yourself No room on last day to shower. Not enough staff in dining area tables weren't cleared quick enough. Food not coming out quick enough areas were cleared of food and not replenished quick enough including plates and dishes. Not enough umbrellas to shade people in the pool area I will say this to all people, KIDS/CHILDREN should only have factor 50 on, the amount of kids I saw with bad sunburn and blisters and saw parents putting factor 30 oil on or less was unreal. The canaries are very hot plsces

This hotel is the worst hotel I have stayed in with over 30 years travelling abroad. I hardly ever post reviews but feel so strong with regards to warning people about this hotel that I needed to write a post. We stayed here in April and from the moment we arrived we encountered problems. The room hadn't been cleaned properly with a dead cockroach in the corner of the room, crisp packet left under the bed from the previous occupants. The sofa bed where my children had to sleep was damaged, the furniture in the room such as the kitchen cupboards, draws / unit where the TV was located, wardrobe, patio door frame, large crack in the balcony above us these were all damaged. The tap in the kitchen was loose and we did not have a warm shower on the first night. On the fist day we also discovered an ant infestation. The restaurant was also a nightmare, I have never seen such disgusting seats in all my life. To say that the chairs were stained and disgusting is an understatement. I could go on and on about this hotel. From day one we requested to be moved to another hotel which we were eventually able to on our 3rd day albeit it cost us £500 to move. It was either that or a flight home which would also cost us £500. We moved hotels which was night and day in comparison to this hotel. Unfortunately by this point our holiday was ruined. A colleague from work was also due to stay at this hotel in June however I have advised her accordingly so her family have changed their accommodation. I have advised that this hotel needs to have some serious quality assurance as this is not worthy of 3 stars more like 1. In the 2 nights we stayed here my son had a look warm shower on the 2nd night however for my wife, daughter and I we had to make do with cold showers on both nights. The members of staff on reception that we dealt whose names I cannot recall were the most ignorant people with a total lack of empathy. I have never encountered such poor customer service. If I can stop other families going through what my family and I had to go through then this review has done it's job.

Hotel is terrible, it’s so run down tired and old. Shower had mould in it, old food stuck to wall and sofa. Light fittings having off the wall, window fell off when trying to open.. I read bad reviews before going and tried to ignore it and go with an open mind , and I’ve never wrote a review in my life. But this 100% warrants this review. The food, I cannot understand how it passes food safety regulations as everything is cold, I’m sure a lot of people get food poisoning for this reason alone! The pool bar food is left cold and uncovered bugs all round it, ants in the room over the kitchen worktops. I don’t know what the cleaners do for we only ever had our beds made and rubbish bin emptied. I took my own teabags had about 80 in a clear plastic bag and used 2. They were took from my room because they left me one teabag. I would understand if they all were missing I would have doubted myself that I misplaced them but to leave me one. How dare any one take anything from anyone’s rooms. When I took it to reception they said they would phone the maids and they did and came back to me saying nobody took them and it was a strange thing for someone to take. Yeah and who is gunna admit to that. Because of the mould in our shower I bathed my kids in their nans room as she had a bath and that was the worst thing for my child as she was bathing with bugs. The photos online of this hotel look amazing and the cameraman has done a good job advertising it, and it’s nothing like the photos. Very very underwhelming. Beds are like sleeping on concrete slabs. Everyone says you will find something to eat, there’s something for everyone. Yes you will find something but that’s not to say it will be nice. It’s stone cold, disgusting. Lacks flavour and seasoning. My 4 year old lived on chips and cucumber for a week unless we ate out. She wouldn’t touch the nuggets pizza or pasta. I mean what kid doesn’t like nuggets. It’s horrendous. Do not waste your money! I booked flights after 4days to come home early. Pool is absolutely Baltic my kids lips turned blue, I’ve never been on holiday and not spent everyday in the pool. Well this one was different. The restaurant chairs are older than my great nan, and she could probably stand better than they do. Cocktails are disgusting, out of a pump, staff are miserable and hotel needs shutting down. Please please please do not waste your money. There’s nothing at all around the hotel for the kids,
