The Throckmorton

First time visit for lunch, fantastic customer service from a young lady who was training a new guy on his first day. Polite and very professional. Very nice main course lunch and a fantastic pint of Butty Bach, I’m fussy about how my pint of Ale is poured but it was absolutely spot on. We really enjoyed our lunch, it’s a fantastic pub and would highly recommend it, and we will be back.

This small wayside inn, a pub with rooms in may ways is just a little gem. There is nothing fancy or pretentious just a very comfortable bed, a well appointed shower room, a good sustaining breakfast, and most importantly of all great wine and beer and wonderful home cooked food. English hospitality at it's absolute best, with well trained and marshalled local staff who are always friendly and helpful. We keep coming back, it is handy for Stratford, Birmingham and the northern cotswolds.

The room was comfortable and became quieter as the evening wore on as my room overlooked the main road. I had a good night's sleep. My Sunday evening roast was well cooked and the kitchen was obliging in meeting my preferences. The National Trust property opposite was also a great attraction fo rme.

Quiet, comfortable pub/hotel. Special thanks to Hannah who was warm and welcoming despite our late arrival and served breakfast with a cheery smile the next day.

Very nice quiet stay with good food

A great night away, close enough to Alcester and with some good walks straight from the pub. Wonderful breakfast.

The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was clean, quiet, nicely decorated and comfortable, small but well-designed. The bed was very comfortable. The food was very good. The view is of fields, which one can walk across. It isn't the least expensive place to stay, but it is good value for money.

Stop over after difficult times, a wsrm welcome and a comforting night.

Stayed just the one night, the room was clean and with a comfy bed and a lovely view over the countryside. Both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were all friendly and courteous and would definitely stay again.
