I booked it for my sister who is going to school. At first I didn’t know if I could check in if I was under 21 years old. I just called and asked because it was 12 hours away from Beijing time. Pay attention to the time of the call.

There were few things that I didn’t like about my stay, is how wobbly the bed frames were, also there were ants crowding around the bathroom floor I actually didn’t look closely but I’m assuming they were ants. And the last thing that the breakfast area wasn’t prepared with basic things to make coffee, like regular sugar or milk . Just sweeteners. Other than that the stay was ok.

Rooms are in a separate building from the lobby. No elevator. Breakfast is pretty much only cereal and milk.

This property is not ADA accessible at all! 15 excruciating steps to the second floor because there was no elevator. Steps down to the bathroom in the lobby. Staff was not helpful. Breakfast is stale muffins and a tiny bit of fruit. Area outside is dirty with litter.

In February of this year, I called the Inn on Storrs to book a reservation under a wedding block for just the night of a wedding happening in April. When I received the confirmation email from the Inn, I noticed there were multiple errors on the confirmation including my address and credit card carrier information. I emailed them about these errors, however, never received any follow-up. What I failed to notice was that the reservation date was made, incorrectly, for the day before the wedding instead of the actual wedding date. This was my fault for not noticing, I take responsibility for that. However, they also didn’t follow-up about any of the other issues that I did bring to their attention. When I showed up on the day of the wedding, I found out that I did not have a reservation for that day and had been charged for the previous day’s reservation as a “no-show.” I was told that it was an error on their part and was assured that I would not be charged a second time for that night’s reservation. Turns out, they did end up charging me for both nights, either by accident or on purpose, I’m not sure. But I was charged for both nights even though I only spent one night at the hotel and was told I’d only be charged once. When I realized this error, I sent two different emails that went completely unanswered. I then called the Inn on 2 separate occasions and was told that the manager was unavailable but would call me back. No one ever called me back. Finally, on the 3rd attempt, I spoke with the manager who basically spent 5 minutes telling me that I had completed two different reservations (I did not) and she would need to “look into the case further” and “couldn’t guarantee a refund.” She was very rude and never once apologized for the situation. This conversation happened at the beginning of June and I have yet to hear anything back. Almost two months after the fact and I have yet to receive any refund or follow-up regarding this situation. I absolutely would not recommend staying here.

The room setup was amazing, clean, spacious, and nice fixtures. However, everything else was ridiculously unexplainable. There was so much chlorine in the pool we couldn’t last long enough to get in without coughing and eyes watering. Two other families were sitting outside pool area complaining. Went to front desk they said they knew it was bad but we couldn’t open windows. Next morning it was way better but still really unhealthy. It advertised breakfast. They had a nice long 20 foot bar with really nice sitting area but nothing was out on it. There was a small refrigerator with yogurt and milk but it was locked. On a small side table there with 5 extremely cheap wrapped muffins with 10 mandarin oranges. No hotel staff was at front desk for over 30 minutes. When they came I asked if they had anything else and if the yogurt could be unlocked, he just nodded and never came back. Waited 30 more minutes and he never came back. Hotel it’s self was nice but staff and amenities leave much to be desired.
