Booked a 1 night stay as away with business in Sunderland. Superb venue / accommodation . Great warm room and comfy bed . Restaurant on site was fantastic and busy for a Tuesday which shows how popular it is . Huge breakfast

Not 4 star. Room door was open on arrival and was stifling hot, took a while to cool after turning radiator off and opened windows. A mop was left in the bathroom. Very small tv. Bed was comfy and food good. Quite thin walls as could hear talking in the hall and doors banging. Painting was taking place up the stairs, so old curtains left in a heap on the landing and paint smell was cloying. Two flights of stairs were covered in bits. If you have mobility issues, only one hand rail on the stairs, so don't get 2nd floor. Just OK for the money.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here. Food was all brilliant from starters to desserts. The waiters/waitresses were all friendly too. Just have to mention the low service which let it down for us. But we would still return as the food was so good. Thank you.

Lovely food, polite staf, very clean, room extremely hot and thermostat on radiator did not work so uncomfortable nights sleep
