Looks like the instant service agent for InterContinental President Cozumel does not do anything but send an email. I have got an email from the Agent of Instant Service in the previous day of my check in, providing all the information asked in the email. On the day of my check in looks like the front desk attendees were not aware of all the information written in the email. I was asked to return to the check in in about 1 hour. And after about 90 minutes I returned and the room was still not ready, available. I am aware that check in is at 3pm, but I was told to return by 1pm and the room is not ready. Looks like there are rooms available because I saw at least one other family doing the check in a being directed to the room. I am really disappointed. The does not provide a lounge for the Platinum Elite Ambassador and basically the only benefit was a 20 USD for all the 6 days that I will be at the hotel. One good thing, the view from the restaurant is great!!!

Beautiful resort. Stayed 8 nights in February. Had a premium oceanview room and the weather cooperated giving amazing sunset views. Highly recommend this laid back resort.

This is a nice 4 star resort in our opinion. We took a puddle jumper flight from Cancun to Cozumel, which only takes 15minutes. When we arrived at the Cozumel airport at 7:30pm it was already closed, so no taxis or hotel shuttles available. We called the hotel, but the receptionist doesn’t have the number to the taxi company? We tracked down a security guard at the airport who was able to provide the number. Thank you to the other reviewers that mention stopping at the Mega supermarket on the way to hotel for snacks/drinks, it’s a giant store & should have everything you could want. Check in was a breeze & they upgraded our room from an oceanfront with balcony to an oceanfront suite. Beautiful room & loved the spa like shower & massive tub with views of the ocean. Toiletries are nice, I wish they gave you bathrooms & we didn’t have a stocked mini bar, I think you need to call for anything you want. But enjoyed the Nespresso type machine & they gave plenty of bottled waters. I would pick the higher level rooms with a balcony instead of ground level beachfront. You have more privacy as there is a common walkway right outside all the ground floor rooms. To make this a 5 star resort, management should have more pool staff, there is no one to help you find chairs, set up towels or open umbrellas. Not to the fault of any staff, they are working very hard, but 2 guys working the pool & beach areas is not enough & there is usually one one bartender, who is crazy busy making drinks, so you’ll wait there too. Meantime in the Caribeño restaurant you have a hostess & 3 or 4 servers & the restaurant is empty. Food & drinks overall were good. Le Cap needs better descriptions for the food menu, we were never really sure what we were ordering. We went to Guidos in town one night, so good! Definitely go. We came here to go diving as scuba du is right on site, however if we return I would find a smaller company to go with. Scuba du has 6 boats so it takes longer in the am to organize that many divers & we had 10 divers on our boat & picked up guests from another resort. Meantime, we talked to other guests that went with smaller operators & they will also pick you up right from the hotel dock, less divers on your boat & you get to come back earlier, so more pool time. There were a lot of babies & kids at the resort, didn’t bother us but in case you’re looking for an adult only type place, this is not it. Unless we sat at a bar, we usually had kids around us at the restaurant, pool & beach. Management should also try to keep kids off the private cabanas over the water, unless they were full, kids run thru them & use the hammocks over the water as trampolines to dive in the water. My favorite things about this hotel were the breakfast buffet, so many options, and the ability to have chairs so close to both the pool and the beach. Best property on Cozumel, Rooms all nice we had two room suite next to beach with Jacuzzi.... worth it! Dive shop on property was great, snorkeling was great, food was great, staff was great. Only issue was hotel is next to inlet where the boats dock that serviced the cruise ships .... one day 5 cruise ships docked. Outside was like a highway... not tranquil .... Also hard to get there.. took 2.5 hours from Cancun, taxi, ferry, taxi.. Was disappointed the concierge could not help with transportation... ask who was vetted and who to use ... also would be good to let you know how to get there as you have to take a ferrym been nice to picj us up at Ferry building, had to take crapy taxi. In MX it is a chaos all the time... would have been nice that a 5 star hotel handled this. Liked the stay wont go back because of how busy it was with all the boats and people in the water from cruise ships.
