What a BEAUTIFUL place! The view was fantastic! The room was fantastic! Everything was fantastic EXCEPT for one of the staff who said we did not have a free breakfast coming. We proved we did and that staff member stated we had to wait until 10:00 am to get breakfast! THANK YOU Gloria for coming to our rescue!

Great location with well equipped room. Handy to town (40 minute walk) and lots to do on the island or a trip to the mainland.

The resort is a pleasant beachside getaway that is "ok" if you just want to relax and hang out. The one disappointment is the presence of several cruise ships "next door" every day of the week. The restaurant is "ok" with its dinner buffet approach. I did find the service to be disappointing as the wait staff did not seem to be very attentive to clearing plates and managing drinks. Having said that there were a couple of servers who were by far better than most of the team. I have been spoilt by the other El Cid resorts and guilty of comparing this one to those resorts and as such will return to one of the other resorts on our next trip.

We had a wonderful vacation. Roger and Ulysses were great! Watching the cruise ships come in and leave everyday was a joy to watch.

My fiancé and I just returned from a week at this great hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating from the minute you walk in the door We were able to book tours through the concierge. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. We love the proximity to town. We really enjoyed seeing the cruise ships outside but occasionally heard the noise in the morning. The dive shop is right on site and the view of the water during dining is spectacular Special thanks to DAVID, our favorite server in the dining area. He made our stay very enjoyable and took great care of us. Food is great. Special thank you also to Diana in the spa. Her massages are the best.!!🩷🩷

Everything about ElCid is wonderful. We feel so safe here in Cozumel and the staff are super friendly and nice. Special thanks to Ester who always makes us feel like family. We’ve been coming here for 10+ years and have never been dissapointed. In those yesrs the hotel has continued to be updated and maintained excellent standards. Highly recommend El Cid La Ceiba for your Cozumel stay.
