The room is very clean. They may have other business activities when they are on a business trip. There are so many handsome guys, all of whom are above 180. There is a favorite croissant for breakfast🥐 The surrounding environment is very good, there is also a swimming pool and a gym

The hotel was fine. The pool and gym were excellent. Unfortunately, on check in we asked if we could book a table for 3 people for dinner, and were told that we could book at 6.30 or 8.00. We chose 6.30. When we went to the bar for a pre dinner drink, it was packed and very noisy, with TV's everywhere. Then we were told that the restaurant was closed, and we would have to eat in the bar! It was too late to go somewhere else. We were very disappointed, and although we complained on checkout, all we got was a metaphorical "shrug of the shoulders!"

I organised a team event for 30 of my team and the service and support on offer at the hotel was great. The team supporting the event throughout, the venue, were brilliant and seemed to have fun doing it. Lots of personalities within the De Veres team and they were allowed to be at their best. Thanks you for hosting my team event and will definitely be back!

Room needed a proper clean overall. The bedside table had sticky ring marks from last guests and skirting very dirty. Looked tired and dated but bed clean and comfortable. Ate in the bar which was fine and breakfast was really good. Staff lovely. Ample parking and ok location.

Booked as a stopover travelling further south. I hesitated when I read some of the negative reviews, but stuck with it. Staff were very friendly, standard of the room was good, excellent gym facilities & good pool. We ate in the bar, not in the restaurant only because we weren't very hungry. Quality of steak sandwich was excellent, and as such reasonably priced. Wine was over-priced, but no more than you expect in an hotel. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Some reviews complain about being set up for conferences, and that is one if its main markets I would say, but in no way did it deract from our stay. Also close to Holmes Chapel with some nice cafes.

Our Trust held a debating competition for 5 secondary schools. The staff were amazing in listening to our needs and setting out the rooms. The students were spellbound by the venue and it really supported them in stepping up in the competition.

On March 20th I was heading over to Cranage Estate to attend a conference the next morning. I called the reception to check my booking and to explain that due to circumstances, I was going to be late. Georgie - the receptionist had a delightful manner. She listened carefully, checked my details and then after hearing the situation, offered to organise food for me despite my possibility of being late (as I was going to potentially miss the evening meal). Georgie then offered to phone me at 8.45pm in order to check where I was up to and then she could help if I required an alternative to the evening meal. True to her word at 8.45pm she called. I was mid transit. I was going to be late, however Georgie offered to talk with the chef and ensure I had food on arrival. Unfortunately my car then broke down - again I called and Georgie offered to ensure I had food kept to one side. The manner by which Georgie handled y numerous calls and requests, was professional, courteous and put me at my ease. I great experience and a class case on how to speak with a customer as a human being. Thank you Georgie.

The estate is beautiful and the initial entrance/bar/lounge is luxurious but unfortunately the hotel rooms are not. The hotel room was similar to a Travelodge which we wouldn't have minded so much except the shower head broke off at first use rendering it useless. The staff initially offered us a complimentary breakfast (value £40 for 2 btw) and when we said we unfortunately didn't have time for that, only offered a £25 refund for our inconvenience. I said that was not acceptable as we had booked a room with a shower, which neither of us managed to have, and I demanded the £40 refund initially offered. The staff, including the General Manager, then absolutely refused to stand by their initial offer of £40 were frankly rude and lied about what was and wasn't offered etc.. Really appalling for this type of establishment. I have escalated my complaint and will update when I get a response.
