衞生不錯,前台接待服務好,停車方便。因為沒預先預訂,晚歺沒吃上,出酒店才發現,全城歺廳都預訂滿了,真的從來沒有遇到過。衹能超市買了點麪包。

The White Swan is an old hotel it requires to be updated although the room we had been recently updated, most of the hotel is on various levels with no lifts (elevators) the food was average, service by the young staff very good there was no facilities apart from the bar the hotel is very central to the town

I am writing this review to highlight the friendly, well informed staff of The Swan Hotel. I have just returned from a couple of days in Alnwick and although I didn't stay at the hotel I was interested in viewing the dining room that was saved from a great ship. The receptionist was so nice and allowed me to sneak a peak at it. How beautiful the room was I am so glad I saw it. If a hotel has staff this good it must be a lovely, caring place to stay.

As we were spending the weekend at The White Swan to attend a family memorial, we were not expecting to have such a lovely time. Alnwick itself is beautiful and The Gardens were stunning. Staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming and I would particularly like to say a big thank you to Shaun.

My room was really nice, though when I got there (an hour and a half after check-in opened) the cleaner was still finishing up - a little odd that the front desk thought the room was ready before it was. The other drawback was the lack of a lift, and the number of stairs demanded by the building's shape - after the flight of steps up to the first floor, there was a set of a few down, then three back up as I went along the hallway to my room. That was difficult since I was carrying two bags. (So was the revolving door which seems to be the only way in. If you're in a wheelchair, I can't imagine you can even get in the place, let alone get to a room or use it.) Breakfast was less successful. Like many (most?) who came here, I'm a Titaniac who came for the Olympic Room. While nice, it's a lot smaller than it appears in photos. The food itself was unimpressive too - it was more akin to a continental breakfast than a full English, and with few warm options for vegetarians. Well, I can say I've gone up a staircase from the Olympic and eaten in the lounge now. I guess that's something. I think I'd stay somewhere else if I stayed in Alnwick again - though I'm more likely to just stay in Berwick. But if you're just looking for a nice hotel stay, and don't mind the stairs, you could do much worse.

Food was ok. But not gastronomy. Service was very basic. Lovely friendly staff but certainly not relaxing. Piling up plates on the table next to you. Dragging chairs. Bread Rolls that had been left on the table for hours. Staff cannot remember even though there are only two of you what you ordered. Unopened wines ‘delivered’ to your table. Cheap glasses and crockery. Very sad. They have the stage. But not the delivery.

Lovely restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. Immaculately clean and the food was very good with an interesting menu, including a very nice twist on a tapas meal. Very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our meal (twice in 2 days) and we will be back.

Very friendly staff throughout our stay but found the hotel room very tired and in need of updating with a rather musty smell. No curtains at window only an ill fitting blind so it was full daylight in our room by 5am!! In a very central position with car park to rear. Breakfast was okay with polite service again but food average. At nearly £200 for one night stay it wasn't the cheapest so I would probably try elsewhere if visiting again

Fantastic location for castle , gardens and town centre. Private car park at the rear of the hotel . Enjoyable breakfast with pleasant staff. However —-our stay was spoilt by the horrendous bed in our room (204 ) The mattress was completely worn out and the bed sank down into a hole It was so bad I had to sleep upside down Also the pillows were hard and lumpy All in all we thought it was very disappointing for the money we paid
