Overall disappointing visit to the Old Inn. When we arrived we got given a menu with special offers for certain courses if I hadn't seen the table next door I wouldn't have known they did other dining options and I wanted to eat from the Al Carte menu. All menus should be offered automatically and diners should not have to ask. It took an age for our server to come despite it being very quiet and it took a while to get drinks. Eventually the food arrived and it was a mess on a plate I have never seen such bad presentation. Why are you using a full size plate for a small starter portion starters would be better served on nice small plates I literally had half an empty plate and it just made the food look terrible. The Pheasant was cooked well and the sauce was lovely but the purple lettuce brought noting to the dish. The way the scallops were presented looked terrible they were drowned in a sauce and you couldn't tell what the dish was. You need to completely scale this dish back scallops are naturally flavoured and are delicate and need little accompaniment it was all too over powering and to be fair they were cooked to perfection and were some of the nicest scallops I have eaten but I had to scrape all the sauce off them. The lemon and thyme rubber disc was inedible not sure what it is and the accompaniment on the bottom was too strong too much going on please simplify this beautiful seafood dish. Again they need presenting on a different plate it had all merged into a sloppy mess. The burger was average again nothing special. We unfortunately did not get to try desserts as after siting with dirty plates for over 30 mins no one offering us desserts we just left. I would happily pay the prices here and more if the food was improved but currently it is very overpriced for what they serve. I also think £5.00 for a glass of tonic is a little too much. The service drastically needs improving too if you are going to class yourselves as elegant gourmet dining there was noting elegant about the presentation of the food or the service provided.

A very enjoyable lunch today to celebrate a special family occasion. We received a warm, friendly welcome and were promptly shown to a very nice, spacious table for our party of three. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal’s from the Festive Menu, the food was delicious and piping hot. We were very well looked after by Charlotte and Alex, all the staff were very friendly & helpful and there was such a lovely ambience, dim lighting and beautiful Christmas lights made it very special! Look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic overnight in a suite. The room was fabulous and beautifully decorated. The bathroom amazing and the free standing bath was luxurious. Food good and service warm and friendly. A wonderful experience in a particularly beautiful part of Northern Ireland. The spa facilities were also very well organised. Will definitely be back again. Well done!

My Wife and I stayed in May to celebrate her Birthday and loved it so much that we returned in November to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We love the old world charm, the quirkiness of the different rooms, the outstanding food and above all the friendly, welcoming service. The spa is an absolute favourite, small but perfect. We found it difficult to leave. Thank you to all the team, we can't wait to return.

We had the best lunch we have had out in some time. Staff were amazing and we would definitely recommend and visit again soon. Beer battered fish and beef dripping chips are the best. The Old Inn has had a lot of work done recently and it is so cosy and welcoming. Hope to stay in the future.

Fantastic two night break at the Old Inn. Stumbled into the monthly pub quiz on the first night. Had excellent breakfasts both days with a great meal in the restaurant the 2nd night. Spa was thoroughly relaxing. Lovely sipping a cocktail in the pool.

Got married at the Old Inn in November 2015 and always enjoy returning for our wedding anniversary. Staff were very welcoming as always and our room was clean and very comfortable. Minibar with complementary soft drinks a nice touch as well. I’m also very glad that Galgorm group have retained the traditional style in the rooms in keeping with the old building. We had booked a 3 course meal with our stay as well. The food was excellent, I had the venison which was cooked to perfection and we were delighted to receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco with our meal since it was our anniversary. Service at breakfast was great. One of the waiters noticed me stirring my teapot and very kindly brought me a stronger brew - I like my tea very strong! Didn’t avail of the spa facilities so I can’t comment on them. Maybe next time. Thanks again Jackie and Mark

Room and spa beautiful, there was a wedding on in the hotel so the spa was quiet which was nice, overall facilities were good. My husband had fish and chips and the chips were cold but they did replace with hot chips. I had poached corn fed chicken in barley which really was chicken soup which was nice but was not worth £28.00. The General Food and drinks was overpriced The biggest disappointment was the breakfast the next morning, we both had a cooked breakfast which was cold, I have never had a cold poached egg before and the plates were cold too. The continental breakfast was warmer than the cooked breakfast. Overall I will not be staying again, I was booked this by family for my 60th birthday which I was not given a card as I have previously received in the sister hotel the galgorm, Overall disappointed compared to the last time I stayed with the previous owners of the old inn

As part of the Galgorm group, a hotel we are very fond of, we had high expectations. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful- I couldn't fault any one of them. The room was nice enough, however the floor boards were very creaky and bathroom could do with being updated- the shower screen wasn't sealed well and leaked all of the floor. There were no plugs beside the bed- a pet hate of mine! The spa was nice, we spent most of our time in the hot tub which was lovely. We did get into the pool and noticed the jets were only working on one side. It's easy to order drinks to your area using the QR code, even if the cocktails are pricey at 14.20 each. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely however there was a wedding on and they had only pulled a curtain across to separate the two so it was quite loud- the band were quite good though! I was most looking forward to breakfast however I was quite disappointed. The choices at the continental buffet were poor- eg cereal there was only Weetabix and overnight oats. Very poor selection of pastries or breads- a staple of a good continental breakfast, I believe. The cooked breakfast is cooked to order and was ok but again I think there could have been more choice like possibly an omelette. Overall I would say it was just ok, there's definitely improvements that could be made.
