The hotel staff is very good and the location is very convenient

The good - staff is very friendly, the hotel is in good location. The not so good - parking is difficult to find and the walls are paper thin. I booked a night and requested a parking space for my stay. The hotel ”missed it” and I spent about an hour looking for a spot to park as there was a football championship game in town. It was frustrating to say the least especially as I had proof that I had made the request with confirmation of it from the hotel. At one point, they suggested I park in a lot that was a 30 minutes walk from the hotel. Um...no I was finally ”allowed” to park in the hotel parking garage for a few hours but had to move by a certain time that evening. I was actually ready to cancel the booking as I had a car and no place to park when there was a miraculously empty spot on the street in front of the hotel. Like I said, staff was kind but this hotel was a one and done for me.

The service staff are very good. But in the decoration, there is lidl nearby. It is very convenient to buy food and daily necessities. There is also a bus stop at the door, which is convenient to go to the old town.

We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Al Veliero. We travelled here as an Irish couple on business. The hotel is spotlessly clean and beautifully modern. We had a really comfortable room, the staff super friendly and Al Veliero boasts excellent restaurant too. Fabulous all round. Astonishingly good value in all respects and a great base from which to explore Cremona, Brescia, Bergamo and of course, Lago Di Garda. Grazie mille ragazzi. Alla prossima.

It takes five minutes to take a taxi from the hotel to the hotel We took a taxi and three pieces of luggage and it took us about twelve chance encounters Those who want to take the bus can go to piazza Cavalli. If the bus ticket remains unchanged, one yuan two to one five yuan per person The room can have an extra bed and the location is very good right in the center of the city there is a parking lot at the door The hotel should be considered a relatively modern hotel in Europe I used to eat in the restaurant on the roof and the first floor of this hotel when I was at school in piacenza Stayed for two days on this tour The hotel is very good and the facilities are relatively complete Afternoon tea or appetivo, you can choose to go to the top of the building The scenery is really nice It's a pity that the suites are all booked during this stay really like I hope I can live in a suite next time.

The reason I am giving this 2 stars is because I  sleeped awfully in the bed, I found my mattress very uncomfortable. To be fair my wife next to me slept like a log. The picture quality on the TV was very good indeed, so much so I am making a comment about it.  A printed list of the channels would have been very useful. No idea why the channels we had were advertised as ”premium”.  The only English channels we finally found were 3 news channels.  Apart from films you would have on any normal Italian TV, no other films. WiFi was very good. The Bathroom was very nice, with an ample supply of good towels.  We went for the half board option.  Glad we did.  The food in the restaurant was very good, we could order any 2 dishes from the menu. We ordered our selves 2 glasses of wine with our meal.  After we finished I offered to pay for these extra.  I was very surprised to be told they were included in our meal deal. Good food and service, good value for money.  All the staff we spoke to had good English, and were very welcoming Covid restrictions like the whole of England were now very limited. The staff had mask, but no restrictions on us guests. So for the first time in maybe 2 years we found ourselves sharing a lift with 2 unmasked individuals.  This is going to become the new normal (again).  If you are not happy with this situation your only option would be not to travel. This is not a criticism of this hotel, just  a comment on governments policy's.  On going down for breakfast I was initially disappointed they was no all singing coffee machine, only a filter one.  After a couple of minutes I realised other residents were asking the serving staff to bring them their favourite coffee from the kitchen which they freshly made. Why not display a notice stating this? Compared to any  humble French hotel the bread quality was poor. However the selection of sliced cold meats was very good. They also had cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. The fruit juice  offered was not the real thing. I can't remember when I had such a poor night's sleep in a hotel, so we will not be going back, which in many whys is a shame. 

Perfect business Hotel , but also for Families. The breakfast was very big and nice. Save Parking inside. Rooms are well and comfortable. Our stay was just one night but issues with checki in or out. For a ride in the old city of Piazenca you need only five minutes with car or Taxi. The city is nice to eat or shopping something.

This was an excellent hotel - rather like an upmarket Premier Inn. Room capacious, bathroom well-appointed and breakfast buffet more than adequate. Its only disadvantage is its out-of-town location next to an American-style shopping centre. When I booked, I misread the map, thinking it was on the edge of Fidenza but it isn’t - it’s about 3km out of town, on the edge of Fidenza Village (the aforementioned shopping centre). Impossible to walk to because it’s reached via busy main roads. So taxis are a must, at 10 to 12 Euros a time. I was very well served by a local firm but it was hard to find a taxi after seeing Verdi’s Il Trovatore at the opera house - the town was in the grip of noisy local celebrations. However, these were rather interesting to see and overall, I enjoyed my stay in Fidenza. Just don’t expect to walk to the hotel - you need a car (or a taxi).
