We were attracted to the Curly Redwood Lodge when we learned it is known as the motel made out of a single curly redwood tree. The motel was easy to book over the phone. It is conveniently located near Redwood Forest Parks and across from ocean beach front. The Curly Lodge is a drive to your door retro motel with free covered off-street parking. We had a large room with two lounge chairs, nice desk area, microwave, mini-fridge with freezer, soft queen bed with three pillows. It had a shower (no bath) with vanities. Across the street is a popular local fish restaurant. It is staffed by a friendly family. The grounds and rooms are very clean. We paid $85 for a night's stay.
