Dragon Inn

Just overall poor room. Height restrictions TV smaller than the average iPhone and the room was itself was on a tilt.

Brilliant hotel, great food, service and fantastic clean rooms.

Stay was good although I couldn’t fit my car through the narrow entrance to the car park and had to park in the street.

A lovely old building, room was clean & comfortable & the staff were very friendly.

Great location, accommodation, food and service. Friendly helpful staff. Fairly priced but book early. Hotel car park through a very tight tunnel but public car park nearby if you have a large car. It was Saturday before Chris**as and there appeared to be an after hours staff/local party with loud music until it dispersed around 2pm. We weren’t too bothered as we were visiting on a Xmas do ourselves and watched TV until it calmed down. It would have been polite to warn residents. I assume this was not a regular Saturday event. We won’t stay at Xmas again.

Had to request two changes of rooms as not suitable but we were then required to pay for an upgrade. We’ve stayed many times previously but have never experienced this. Bit disappointing

This was our first visit to the Dragon Inn, plans had changed on this particular Sunday so it was a spur of the minute decision to try and book for for Sunday lunch, we didn’t think we would get in and was so surprised that there were tables left as many places in the area get booked up really quickly . On entering it was quite empty and we shown to our table by one if the many waiting staff, order was taken quickly with my husband choosing beef and I chose the lamb. Food was brought to us in a reasonable time , presentation was good and so was the portion size, unfortunately this is when it started to go down hill , I couldn’t cut the lamb as it was very tough and fatty and on closer inspection looked raw, I immediately called over a waitress and informed her that the lamb was not cooked and I couldn’t cut the lamb, she immediately took the food away and said she would replace the whole dinner , I didn’t want to chance the lamb again so I opted for the beef, a fresh dinner came out and the response from the chef was that the lamb was cooked but agreed very fatty , I disagree , I always have lamb on a Sunday lunch ~ it was raw. The beef dinner was ok , at least I could cut the beef, it could have done with being hotter. We did stay for desert , apple crumble and sticky toffee, both were delicious & hot. Unfortunately I don’t think we would visit again due to the issues with the meat , disappointed as we were looking forward to it.
