One of your youngish members of staff which I think was called Pablo was very unprofessional, he barely even knew the names of the food he was serving. He also had a lot of attitude and just overall rude. I personally think he should be fired or at least disciplined. Everything else was perfect the food was good, every is very nice to look at and all the other staff I spoke to seemed very nice and professional. Pablo needs to be took under someone’s wing and learnt the ways of hospitality if he isn’t going to be fired. Very disappointing!

We stayed here for a night after visiting Abraham Heights. It is a gem of a hotel and exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in room 7 which was a 3 bedroom family room, overlooking the beautiful gardens. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and breakfast, the next morning was tasty, too. The staff were helpful and professional. The hotel is situated in Cromford and it is a 5 minute walk into the village. We bought some lovely chocolates from an artist chocaltier on our walk.

Really love it here & visit often as it’s around the corner. Had dinner Friday eve either my friend and we shared a bottle of rose Prosecco. We ordered the bread, olives & balsamic plate to share. I ordered the tuna nicioise, which was lovely. My friend ordered the breaded chicken with tortellini salad, it looked good & she thoroughly enjoyed it. We finished off with a cheese board & the sticky toffee pudding crème brûlée in the little Lounge area. The service was fantastic as usual!

A lovely hotel with a great restaurant and very friendly, helpful staff, stayed for one night but could have stayed the week. The room was very comfortable with a huge shower. Dinner was superb and the Almond Apple strudel was to die for (all their deserts are home made) well stocked bar and a really varied choice on the evening menu.

Stayed for three nights for a family get together. Oakhill was most welcoming with friendly staff and efficient service. Though we found the evening menu somewhat limited, the food was excellent and extremely well presented. The building had real character and the gardens were delightful. With it’s industrial heritage we all found Cromford an interesting area to explore.

A great find for myself travelling as a business man. Friendly attentive staff who are really happy to help in anything you require. The rooms are nicely decorated and have everything you need with great ensuites. The restaurant is fabulous with great tasty food options and delicious breakfast. Also a bonus they have one 7kw charger which I could use to charge my car overnight.

We stayed for 2 nights in a family room (room 7), it was lovely to have a full size single bed as the 3rd bed, and not a roll away camp bed. The room had everything we needed and toiletries were also provided The hotel is fantastic, very clean with lovely, friendly & professional staff We had breakfast both mornings and also ate here one night - the food is delicious and there is a bar with so many drinks to choose from The views and scenery were amazing too We will certainly be visiting her again soon
