I visited with my wife and 2 year old. The sheltered beach at the hotel was calm enough for my toddler not to be frightened by the sound of the waves, as he was in Storebay. We had a wonderful day at the nearby Being with Horses tour, 15 mins away at Bucccoo and there was even a pony for my toddler to ride. The transport organized by the hotel was on time and courteous. The room was clean with a sea and garden view. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods. The lunch and dinner menus were a bit limited but still delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel qualifies as a major art venue by itself and is beautifully designed. Overall a very good experience, worth the price, which is a bit on the pricey side to be honest.

One of the biggest draws to Coco Reef was how classically elegant it was. Some things stand the test of time and this is one of them. The resort was thoughtfully designed around the bay and you were never more than a few steps away from the sea. We specifically chose this resort because of the food and it was absolutely knock-out. A buffet breakfast followed by a la carte lunch and dinner, with the dinner menu changing every night of the week. Ingredients were fresh and the food delicious. Having an allergy to gluten, the staff were more than happy to accommodate. If you want pasta, pizza and chips- skip this place! Bacon wrapped scollops, mahi mahi and fillet steak is on the menu here. My words really don’t do justice to how exceptional the food is. As a regular traveller to all inclusive resorts, I am typically underwhelmed by the food options and difficulty eating gluten-free but Coco Reef has broken the mould. The only thing that we were disappointed by was the entertainment/ overall evening ambience. There is a stunning gallery overlooking the bay with a terrace beneath which would have made a wonderful area for live music and linking the lobby bar, but neither are really utilised. Someone playing sax or keyboard here would really bring the guests together. There was supposed to be a managers cocktail evening and karaoke night but both were cancelled during our 1 week stay. They had just begun trialling afternoon tea on the gallery so if you are travelling soon, please make a point of supporting this and giving any feedback that you see fit. Livingston (If I recall correctly), the food and beverage manager, makes himself visible and wants to ensure that they are offering the best of the guests. The beach was beautifully maintained and the water crystal clear. We snorkelled around the bay and saw some beautiful fish and squid. Snorkels are provided but we took a waterproof phone pouch so that we could film. Whilst we missed them, other guests saw a turtle and stingray. The best thing about the beach though was Michael’s drink service to your sunbed- that guy has so much energy and an amazing memory. The airport is a 10 minute walk away but as it only handles small aircraft, we didn’t find any impact from noise. We hired a car from the airport during the stay for around £45 and did a 1- day island tour. We loved feeding the hummingbirds at Shurland James (Aunt Shurls) and the view from Glasgow’s bar over Parlatuvier. The beaches on the north side of the island are incredible. The island is very easy to get around and I enjoyed this far more than guided tours we have done in the past- we were able to spend time in the places that we wanted and avoid tourist traps. If you’re looking for top quality, classic Caribbean, this is the place. If you look closely at some of the building then you can see it’s a little tired but for us, it didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the stay and the things that truly matter.

Initially, we were disappointed that the first impression of the resort building, was "tired", needing some TLC. As all inclusive at Coco Reef Resort, again we were surprised that still water was included, but sparkling water was not! Red, white & rose wines, included, sparkling wine not! Basic spirits included, cheaper branded (Gordon's gin) not. Some staff outstanding, many not quite so. . However, 2 or 3 days in, the above started to be much less important as the setting, facilities, general feel of the resort, quality of food and growing interaction with staff, made those irritations irrelevant. Swim around the Reef that surrounds the hotels beach, in total awe. It's like swimming in a tropical fish tank. The back of the Reef is even better! The beach is natural sand, chairs are plentiful, though April is pretty quiet. Service at the beachside bar is quick, friendly and decent food. The evening meals in the restaurant was of a very good quality, again with service very friendly and attentive, the same with breakfast in the same place, the quality and extensive selection was very good. Two weeks later, we were broken hearted to leave. The people of Tobago are incredibly friendly and laid back. We hired a car and travelled all the way around, it was stunning. If you forgive the irritations, you will have an unforgettable trip here. To date, it became our favourite of the Caribbean islands of the 5 others we have visited. We are already looking at options to return, and we only got home a few hours ago.

This was our first time having been recommended to Coco Reef by friends who travelled with us to the hotel. They were right; the hotel is wonderful if a little tired at the edges but in no way did this detract from our enjoyment. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a great beach view. Some reviewers have said some of the staff are not friendly. What! They were absolutely fantastic and made our visit. I cannot recall all the names so, not to miss anyone, I will name none but well done to you all. Also I see some criticism of the restaurant food. I cannot understand this as we thought the food was excellent and amongst the best we have eaten in Caribbean hotels (and we have visited more than a few). Lennox the head chef produced a great varied menu. We will return next year when I expect the Painkiller cocktail that I taught the bar staff to make is at the top of the cocktail menu.

I spent a week with a friend. Lovely welcome and staff were always keen to help. Food was above any standard I have ever had in all - inclusive. Restaurant food every night. Themed evenings As much drink as you wanted alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. A big shout to the excellent omelettes at breakfast The location is amazing with a beautiful beach and wonderful sea. We called it our private swimming pool! Rooms were fine Large. Perhaps the bathrooms could do with updating particularly the shower. But a small price to pay for a superb holiday !

Just returned from a glorious week at the Coco Reef - lovely, kind & helpful staff. Excellent food - I am gluten intolerant and they couldn't have been more caring and helpful. The private beach is very well kept and an easy access into the crystal clear Caribbean sea teeming with bright coloured fish. Loved Tobago and its exotic birds. Only con is the very slow progress through security at the airport - took over an hour - but the new building is due to open soon!

Coco Reef is a comprehensive holiday destination, catering to families, individuals, groups and businesses. If you're traveling light, it's a quick ten minute walk from the ANR Robinson Airport. If you have luggage it takes approximately one minute by taxi. It is right on the Milford Road within easy reach of myriad eating establishments, places of interest and entertainment. The curved ,well lit entrance is welcoming and a good selfie opportunity. The first person you encounter is the courteous, professional security personnel, who welcomes and directs you. From there you enter a beautiful winding driveway, weaving its way through a lush, expansive, landscaped garden, ending at a roundabout with a water feature and a GOLD ROLLS ROYCE..(second selfie opportunity). The lobby opens on to an indescribably beautiful panoramic view of the ocean. You are warmly welcomed immediately by reception and served a welcome cocktail. The receptionist took my luggage, escorted me to my room and explained everything I needed to know. My room was cheerful, bright, air conditioned with a veranda overlooking the ocean, and the entrance overlooking the beautiful gardens. The corridors are interspersed with beautiful, healthy plants and the walls lined with interesting paintings like an art gallery. The buffet breakfast features local and international cuisine, complete with fresh fruits, fruit juices and an omelet cook. Most of the seats have ocean views and well mannered black birds complete the idyllic setting. Dinner at this locale is a lovely experience enhanced by the music from the bar and the exquisite singing of the master of ceremonies on karaoke night. There is also another restaurant on the beach. The beach is enclosed, making it safe and private, allowing you to swim and snorkel in comfort. Staff can be seen grooming the beach to pristine perfection early on mornings. There's a quaint, creative outdoor shower stall, and a real substantial helicopter landing pad, ideal for selfies. The public bathroom servicing the beach, is tastefully designed, functional and fully stocked. There's a mini mall between reception and the beach with boutiques, souvenir shops, hair dressers and child care. One thread that ran through my entire stay, from the security at the entrance to the beach staff and every one in between, was the consistent professionalism, courtesy and warmth of the staff. Tobagonians are simply beautiful people, but, the staff at Coco Reef are exceptional. They operate like one unit. Your comfort is everyone's business. Words elude me to fully describe this experience. You have to experience it for yourself.

We have just returned from the Coco reef hotel and would like to say what a wonderful experience it has been. The reception and reservation team were welcoming and helpful. The room was fantastic spotlessly clean and what we requested. The food was fantastic dietary problems were not an issue as the chef will accommodate any requests that were made. which we were extremely grateful for. I would definitely recommend this hotel the staff are very friendly and helpful. We look forward to going back.

After seeing Coco reef for nearly 10 yrs of travelling to and from both Trinidad and Tobago; and reading many mixed reviews we decided to book for our holiday in May. We stayed in the deluxe ocean view room. The entrance is very grand and exudes opulence from the grounds alone. On arrival we were amazed by the views of the hotel and the beach. We were greeted by staff and given a welcome drink (much needed after an 11 hr flight) Checking in was smooth, staff were super helpful and assisted us with luggage up the grand staircase. It is like something out of a movie. Crystal chandeliers scattered throughout the hotel adds to the magical feeling of staying at Cocoreef. I have read many reviews stating rooms are outdated etc...but I can only speak from my experience. The rooms were clean, bed was comfy, the mattress was the best. The hotel in general was clean. The rooms felt homely and a comfortable familiar feel of home...like a beach house but better. Cleaners were on point everyday and you can even tell them what you would like done if you do not need the full service. We found all hotel staff were kind, courteous and helpful. The hotel is full of character...meaning it has been there for a while but seems to be well maintained and this is what gives the ultimate caribbean experience. Allowing you to still feel the island vibes while being in the hotel. Stunning views from the balcony, amazing sunsets. The private beach is the best, especially in the mornings after breakfast it is just you and the tropical pretty fish. There is a bar and restaurant on site and we had delicious breakfasts, with a range of various caribbean dishes every morning. We had no issues with cleanliness or anything not working or being outdated. It met our expectations of the ultimate island holiday. There are restaurants, bars and a shop just outside of the hotel and beaches all around. Nothing is out of reach. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return soon.
