The staff was friendly (a shout-out to Ms. Dorothy who hosted the hot breakfast) to the maintenance guy who was proud of how the hotel looked. The rooms were clean & inviting after our day of driving. It’s not easy to keep things running well in the Hospitality world right now, but I really appreciate the way this hotel welcomed us. My son and I were in a serious traffic accident - I was injured, the car was totaled, an we were 300 miles from home. After I was discharged from the ER, we had to find an inexpensive place to stay for the night. It was after midnight by then, but we called Econo Lodge and learned had rooms available, so we cabbed it there. Check-in was easy and friendly. The price was affordable. The room was very clean and the beds we fell into almost immediately were comfortable -- we both slept well. Breakfast in the morning was... well, at least the area was clean and there was plenty of coffee! And when it was time to check out, they let us stay in the breakfast area until our ride home arrived from out of state. Bottom line: Look folk; It's an Econo Lodge. It's an inexpensive, fairly bare bones motel, exactly what you should expect for the price. But in a fairly dire situation, it was EXACTLY what we needed. We were warm, comfortable, and safe. And we were treated very kindly by all the staff we encountered from start to finish. I'm very grateful.
