Polo Santa Monica

It's quite a strange hotel, a mix of luxury and tired. We stayed here for one night to be close to Cusco Airport before an early morning flight. When we arrived the staff did not seem to be in a good mood, sighing heavily that we couldn't speak Spanish fluently and not even attempting to slow down or make sure we understood. I was too tired to point out to her that in this line of work she will likely come across many people who are not fluent in Spanish..I . I must say that the same lady on reception was considerably nicer in the morning. The room itself is very spacious and has a bathtub next to the bed which is a bit odd but works fine. Cleanliness standards are not super high, and the mattress is quite heavily stained. There is no heater in the room and it does get a bit cold at night. All in all, would stay here again if you need to be close to the airport but otherwise pick somewhere else for a more relaxing stay.

Convenient location and close to the airport. Good breakfast and convenient for dinner, well priced. Only negative is we stayed in basement or lower ground floor. And it was very very cold. There is no heating and no ac. Blankets are very thin.

Great hotel, just a bit far off the usual areas. Best if you want to be close to the airport. It's around 20-30 minutes to the center. Especially with the traffic around. Warm shower, good bed and bonus with a personal heater in the room. Sadly no blow dryer in the room. The tub spills out water so be mindful of this.

I was feeling sick, I had a severe headache and a high fever. And I was travelling solo. I asked a thermometer at the reception and told them that I was feeling bad. they didn’t care and didn’t offer any help. Staff was not helpful at all, I couldn’t even buy water from them. I was asking (feeling really sick) for a water to buy in the reception at 09:00 a.m and they told me I can buy it in 3 hours only, at 12:00. I checked the market nearby , it was close. So I was struggling just to get a bootle of water, it was such a hard thing for them.

Amazing stay

No hot water. Shower room is not separated from the bedroom. The wifi is constantly disconnected. There were 2 towels for 3 people. But very cheap, yes.
