We had a nice lunch here on a cold and wet Friday. It was good to see people at all tables. I had the bolognese for main course. The dessert was particularly good, a lemon cheesecake paired with a glass of Chardonnay, my favourite. And a nice cup of tea in a pot that didn't leak, fabulous!

A lovely old building beautifully appointed. Comfortable bed and good shower. The rooms have their own bathroom but it is across the hall from the room. Being an old building it is not suitable for people with mobility issues - lots of stairs. The cafe downstairs is open every day and food and coffee is good. Staff are friendly.

Lovely accommodation in the main street of Cygnet. Building and rooms presented at a very high standard. Beautiful breakfast in the cafe attached. Off street parking. All very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful giving directions etc.

I was so well looked after from the start until the end of my 3 night stay. All of the cafe staff and employees are incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were divine and proximity of such a lovely cafe is a real treat. My room and bathroom were beautiful- the bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens top shelf. I was very comfortable. I went for a compkete switch off and this was certainly what i was able to do.

Restaurant/cafe. What a terrible meal! Breakfast under cooked and I mean way under cooked bacon, the weirdest mix of sides with terrible flavours that did NOT go with my extremely hard poached eggs. The BREAD? was more like cake and horrible too. I could not bother to complain as this was my friends decision and I went to give this place another try after after a previous experience where my step daughter asked if they could make her a ham and tomato sandwich which they checked with the cook and was advised yes. It came out the smallest peices of sour dough bread two slices of tomato and a small amount ham which was off the bone. This cost her $22 SERIOUSLY. My meal was only $3 dearer. They dont do half serves and are not happy to just do simpler fare oneof my friends asked if they could just have eggs and bacon..which would all have been charged extra. Please there are much better places to eat in Cygnet the Port Hole Cafe, Red Velvet Lounge The bottom pub cafe, Jackies cafe, I really feel for the wonderful waitstaff who are all lovely, the once really beautiful garden setting (becoming somewhat neglected now does NOT make up for the terrible food!

Beautifully preserved building, a lot of attention to detail in the rooms and with cleaning which is faultless and not something I come across even in 5 star hotels. It just is so relaxing and the cafe garden is gorgeous.

This is a magical place. Everything has been thought of to give you a comfortable night while knowing you are in the heart of a beautiful Tassie village. The breakfast was a tasty treat of locally sourced delights and to walk out into the garden and admire the laden apple and pear trees was bliss! Peisha is a communications delight and they have a wonderful support staff. Don’t miss the chance to stay here

Stayed here for four nights in February in the Sterling Room. The Old Bank building was built in 1909 and there are three rooms upstairs in what used to be the bank manager’s residence. All three of the rooms face onto the main road but we didn’t encounter any major noise issues. The Sterling room is the only room with an ensuite. The other two rooms have their own bathrooms but they are across the other side of a common corridor. The Sterling room was on a corner of the building and was very bright. Our room was a good size and was very tastefully furnished with a queen sized bed (very comfortable), bedside tables and lamps either side of the bed, a lounge chair, a bar fridge, a foot stool, full length mirror, a wardrobe (with bathrobes), a chest of drawers that the TV sat on top of, an electric fan and other charming touches like the water jugs with flowers. The bathroom stretched down the side of the building such that as you walked in the large vanity (plenty of room for toiletries) was on the left then a large walk-in shower (pressure good) and then past the shower the toilet. There were a couple of windows in the bathroom that let in the light. The room and bathroom were very clean. Access to the upstairs room was via an internal wooden staircase from the cafe (22 stairs) or via a steel fire escape type staircase (25 stairs) at the back of the property that took you to the car park. There were three car spaces for guests. The tariff included 2 x $20 vouchers for breakfast each day in the Conservatory Cafe which was attached to the B&B and was very good. There was also a beautiful lounge area downstairs where you could sit and enjoy a meal or a drink, read a book or play a game. Unfortunately the WIFI was poor notwithstanding the efforts of our delightful host Peisha who provided us with a couple of different networks used by the cafe. All of the staff that we encountered in both the B&B and the cafe were excellent. Friendly, welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. We would though offer some small suggestions. Perhaps another chair, tight fit but maybe in lieu of the foot stool, and perhaps insect screens on all of the windows rather just a couple.
