Ainslie Manor Bed and Breakfast

Lovely place to stay.

Perfect for Elderly, its lovely and feels like home. However the wood makes it feel like everyone too close.

Great host, clean room handy location.

Delightful and accommodating host who conducts an old-fashioned great value for money B&B with a proper breakfast. Everything needed is provided. Convenient location and very easy if you have a car. Even has a common room with games and a deck that overlooks the pool and catches the morning sun.

Stayed two nights during a heatwave. Enjoyed owner Lynne's hospitality and meeting other guests at breakfast and on patio which was a big plus as I usually stay in brand new apartments and meet nobody. Of course there is a trade off - if you want less expensive accommodation, free parking, free breakfast, in an older building and do not expect perfection, you will not be disappointed. The standard of cleanliness, friendliness and amenity at Ainslie Manor is high, as improvements and renovations are made regularly. Our air conditioner coped perfectly with the heat, the room was fairly soundproof, the bar fridge well-stocked with inexpensive items, The bathroom recently renovated, the communal lounge and patio were nearby, parking was easy. We'll be back!

We arrived late (3pm) self check in, and had a busy day with an event on. We did not see the owner at all at the property during our stay and did not want to publicly embarrass them. As the quality of the cleanliness was certainly not to standard, the property should not be rented out in this state. - dust was extremely thick around the property - thick mould was evident on walls and in aircon - building structure of walls had water damage and mould present - kitchen items were dirty, used and in bad condition - no electrical items were safety tested and tag as per Australia WHS requirements - the pool was out of service with issues showing green water and a light wires exposed in the pool water - floors were dirty and greasy - there was blood on the balcony door frame - no floor mat for the bathroom - Bed was very uncomfortable and definitely needed an upgrade. The bottom line is the property needs some well deserved maintenance and spring cleaning to bring it up to scratch with other Bed and breakfasts. The property has some great potential to be a beautiful stay but it’s very run down.

This is like being a guest in a private house. Lynne, the hostess, is friendly and helpful. Such thoughtful little touches such as a complimentary Continental breakfast, scales to weigh your luggage, lounge area with magazines, books and games, make all the difference. There is a pool, which I didn't have time to try. The bed was super comfortable! Cooked breakfast, for a very reasonable cost, was delicious! My only ****** was that the shampoo and bath gel dispensers in the shower were both empty, and I had to wash my hair with bath soap, but that is hardly the end of the world!
