Dali Old City Luchun Garden Hotel

I traveled to Dali during the off-peak period right after the National Day holiday. There were so many hotels and guesthouses in Dali that I was overwhelmed with choices, but I finally decided on Dali Luchun Garden Hotel. Right after I booked, the butler, Chuyi, called me immediately and added me on WeChat, sending me a check-in guide and a tourist map. That's when I started looking forward to this hotel. On the day of check-in, I contacted the butler in advance about my arrival time. She was waiting at the entrance, helped with our luggage as soon as the cab arrived, and guided us through the check-in process. Afterwards, warm tea and a warm towel were served successively, giving me a wonderful, full sense of being at home. The hotel is only three stories high and doesn't have an elevator, but staff helped carry our luggage the whole way so we didn't have to lift a finger. Upon departure, the butler Chuyi even arranged a car for me to the high-speed railway station. We set a time and departed right on schedule, so I didn't have to worry about a thing at all. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Dali!

Dali has countless B&Bs, and their quality varies greatly. This hotel is in a good location, close to Dali University, and offers a free shuttle service to Dali Ancient City – just let the concierge know ten minutes in advance. The environment is beautiful, with succulents planted in the courtyard, and eating breakfast facing the garden in the morning is a delight. The room decor and service level are both excellent, making it a safe, comfortable, and worry-free choice for families traveling with children. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

This hotel has a convenient parking lot. As soon as we got out of the car, a butler helped with our luggage, so I didn't have to worry about carrying heavy bags as a woman. There are service bells everywhere. The glutinous rice scented Pu'er tea in the lobby smelled lovely, and there were many self-service amenities, even sunscreens, which shows great attention to detail. The location is quite good, very close to the popular scenic road and two food streets, just a few steps away. There are lots of snacks near Dali University, perfect for a quick bite after exploring in the afternoon. The hotel garden is beautifully designed, combining lush greenery, succulents, and unique architecture. Every photo taken there turns out great. The room was clean and spacious, with green trees outside the window, creating a secluded forest cabin vibe. It was wonderful to escape the city noise. The afternoon tea was delicious, and the breakfast was rich and distinctive. The service was exceptional; they could deliver meals to the room, and anything we needed was promptly provided. Whenever we went out, the butler would remind us to bring water and apply sunscreen, which was very convenient and thoughtful. I'd love to come back again.

This hotel is a true oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle, with a large, charming succulent garden that's truly therapeutic. The unique buildings are scattered around the garden, and a stroll along the corridors is incredibly pleasant. As soon as we got out of the car, a butler was there to help with our luggage. All the staff were very friendly, always smiling and greeting us, and thoughtfully attended to all our needs, big or small. This warmth was truly touching. The hotel's location is also fantastic. You can walk to Cang'er Avenue in just one minute. Dali Ancient City and Sanyue Street, both popular attractions, are not far away – just a short taxi ride that costs the minimum fare. I really loved the suite we stayed in. You can enjoy panoramic views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake right from your bed. We upgraded to it by paying the difference. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and there was a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Just lying there was so relaxing. Upon check-in, we received a welcome fruit platter and afternoon tea, both perfectly arranged. The 'Paoluda' dessert was delicious. For breakfast, I highly recommend the rice noodles and pasta – they were absolutely amazing. If you crave a late-night snack, there's a snack street right opposite at Dali University – super convenient! The hotel facilities are very comprehensive, including a billiards room, gym, swimming pool, and children's playground. There are even adorable little bunnies hopping around in the garden. It's the kind of place where you could happily spend your entire vacation without leaving the hotel! They also offer complimentary rental of local ethnic costumes and shawls, solving the problem of buying things that are only good for photos and not practical to take home. I didn't want to leave the hotel at all; the stay was truly superb.

My recent trip to Dali was made extra special by my stay at the Luxun Garden Hotel. I stayed for several days and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel facilities are excellent and comprehensive, with a gym, billiard room, and laundry room – absolutely everything you could need. Our butler, Chu Yi, was available 24/7 and promptly resolved any issues we had. If we needed laundry done, we just had to neatly put our clothes in the room and let Chu Yi know. When we returned from our day out, the clothes would be washed, dried, and neatly placed back in our room. Every evening, we even received warm milk as a bedtime treat. The breakfast selection was also very rich and varied, with different dishes offered almost every day. As we were leaving, Chu Yi even thoughtfully arranged a car to the airport for me. It was a truly considerate touch, and I will definitely be returning!

The service was excellent and the environment was great. Although the hotel isn't huge, my five-day stay was very comfortable. The room was clean and cozy, and the housekeeper contacted me early to ask about my needs. Everyone was very friendly and immediately offered help with my luggage. They even provided a 'goodnight milk'. All my needs were well taken care of.

Had a wonderful 3-day stay at Lucun. From the butler service right from the start, it surpassed most hotels. All the staff helped us with our two large suitcases throughout our stay, and changing rooms in the middle was also very hassle-free. The succulent garden scenery is adorable; it's picture-perfect whether it's raining or sunny. The ladies serving rice noodles and Ersi at breakfast had a perfect service attitude 💯. Fresh高原 (plateau) milk was prepared daily. The hotel's children's play area and self-service laundry facilities were a lifesaver for families traveling with kids.

The LUCHUN Garden Hotel is beautiful, with comprehensive facilities like a self-service laundry room, gym, billiards, and table tennis. The garden scenery is also breathtaking. After booking, Butler Chuyi immediately contacted me, asked for my arrival time, and was already waiting at the entrance. Check-in was very quick, and the breakfast selection was very rich. The young butler Chuyi even thoughtfully applied for a children's breakfast for me. I stayed for two nights and decisively extended my stay. I felt very comfortable here. There were daily weather reminders and comprehensive thoughtful tips. Next time I come to Dali, LUCHUN Garden Hotel must be my first choice.

Seeing the staff tending to the plants in the courtyard gave me a sense of comfort and relaxation. There are many lounge chairs scattered throughout the courtyard, perfect for sitting down and unwinding anytime – it's an ideal spot for daydreaming. Anywhere you stand in the hotel is a great photo op. What's more, the hotel courtyard even offers free ethnic costumes in various styles, so you can wear your favorite and strike poses all over the garden. The hotel amenities are comprehensive, with a gym, parking, laundry room, and swimming pool. No worries about laundry while traveling; you can wear a different outfit every day for beautiful photos! The room was comfortable, and the breakfast had a wide variety, including local specialty rice noodles to try. They even gave us a souvenir when we left, showing great attention to detail. When visiting Dali without a packed itinerary, just leisurely spending time in the hotel garden is truly how a Dali vacation should be!
