This place was perfect. Both the laoban/owner and the staff were so nice and gave plenty of recommendations. The house itself is beautiful and well maintained. Its location cannot be beat—you’re right next to everything without the noise or the tourists. The breakfasts were hearty and filling, and the bikes they have for free use were awesome. Highly recommend biking out to Erhai and even around the farm lands. I would definitely return to Xizhou and would choose to stay here again and again.

Keep in mind these aspects of you consider loft room. Despite of all good reviews, this hotel won't suit needs of every traveler. If you are the one who prefers silence and comfort, this place is not for you. Especially for the loft room. Entrance to the room is located right in reception desk area. When you go in our out of your room, you may see people sitting nearly next to your door. Sense of privacy is compromised. It's like you're leaving public toilet in the lobby of any office area. Not to mention that other guests will be having breakfast right there. Bedroom in the loft has a wooden ceiling bar, and if you're 180 cm and above, you're most likely to hit it with your head if you're are to go downstairs at night. The hand rail on the stairs was wobbly. At Winter it is cold, and there is no conditioner downstairs, heater barely works. But still better than nothing. Heater at bathroom did not work at all. Apart from that, it is a unique place. Super friendly owners. The room has awesome couch to sit on, and large modern TV. The room has plants, and this is something I have never seen after being many years in China. Authentic decoration elements is something to appreciate as well.

Loved the place! Do take note it is slightly further away from the heart of the town so it may be a little quiet to walk back at night. Cars also can’t stop right outside the accoms so you’ll have to lug your luggage for a short distance - cabs may have some difficulty looking for the place. Nonetheless, room looked amazing and comes with heater, bed warmer, hot water, good quality amenities, books available in the room to read. Loved the vibes and it was very peaceful and quiet. Communicated quick questions via WeChat and they were also very responsive.

A had an excellent stay here in what is the best place I have stayed in China. Although there are no English speakers everything worked perfectly using translation apps. All of my questions were answered promptly and I had help with everything I wanted such as directions, places to eat, cycle routes etc. My room was excellent and so comfortable and decorated to a high a standard. It was really lovely. Breakfast was very nice and changed each day. And it was served in the beautiful Chinese courtyard. All of the staff are so happy polite and friendly. The location is perfect quiet and a short walk into the ancient town. It has a real local feel and plenty of places to eat a few minutes away. I used the hotel bikes for a couple of days and highly recommend this as a way to see around the area and the lake. I booked for 2 nights but I stayed for 3 as I felt so relaxed and at home. It is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it for all nationalities.

Excellent location, just a short walk to Xizhou ancient town. A lovely, well preserved traditional building with a picturesque courtyard. Our suite was very spacious, with a separate living room area downstairs. The owners and the lady who works there are very friendly and helpful. The traditional noodle breakfast was delicious, and she also kindly offered us a western breakfast too. Beds are comfortable. There may be a slight issue with drainage in the shower and sound, as it is an older traditional building, but overall it was very peaceful when we stayed. There are free bicycles which guests can use. Would recommend to those staying in Xizhou.

The hotel is in a prime location, just a few minutes from the center of the ancient town. The rooms are spacious and antique, and the courtyard environment is elegant. The facilities are complete, the service is thoughtful and warm, and the breakfast is rich. It is worth recommending.

Breakfast is not rice noodles, which is good! Although the room is a bit compact! But it is also very warm! It is quite pleasant to sit in the yard with friends and chat and watch the stars! There are free bicycles to ride!

The 500-year-old house has a very ancient feel. The staff is friendly and kind. The breakfast is rich. The inn also provides free clothing for taking photos in the inn. There are also bicycles for guests to ride for free. The courtyard is clean and quiet. I will stay here again when I come to Xizhou next time.

Hotel is very well located, just a few minutes walk from the old town and with easy access by car. Very clean room and very friendly staff. They don't speak English but with a translator everything is sorted. The good thing is that you are close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. The garden is beautiful and everything is very well kept.

The 500-year-old house has a strong sense of age. The service staff are particularly thoughtful and enthusiastic, and the rice noodles for breakfast are also delicious!

The hotel is a homestay renovated from an old house of the Bai nationality from the Ming Dynasty with a history of 500 years. I brought my parents to visit Xizhou, Dali. This homestay is very unique. The owner has decorated the courtyard in a very unique way. Living in the old house has a unique charm. Although the homestay is not in the center of Xizhou Ancient Town, it is very convenient to the center of the ancient town, and the key is that it is very quiet. I thought the old house was not soundproof, but I didn't expect the owner to consider this issue when renovating. The soundproofing effect is pretty good.

Very beautiful small courtyard, flowers and plants are very cute, sleep at night is very very very very very quiet, this is very rare It is very close to the ancient town or nearby attractions, very suitable for strolling and enjoying without rushing You can ride a bike to watch the sunrise, go out of the gate, turn right and then turn left and keep riding, follow the ecological corridor to the vicinity of the sea house, at sunrise, the left is the misty Cangshan Mountain and the right is the sea sunrise, go back to the West Line around the sea, very beautiful, the scenery along the way, leave at around 7 o'clock and come back at around 8 o'clock just in time for dinner (the bicycle is easy to ride and light) The house is very clean, the service is very good, I will go again next time

The quiet old house is not too far from the wheat fields and the ancient town, and it is convenient to take a taxi. The room is clean and the breakfast is rich. Coming here from the downtown, a cup of tea and a book can make you relax for a whole day.

The yard is very beautiful, a traditional old yard, it is very comfortable to drink tea, coffee and watch the stars at night. My mother likes it very much. The inn is not far from the parking lot, wheat fields and ancient city, very convenient. It is very convenient to take a taxi or call a small yellow car to the beach!
