Dali Guanshanyue Homestay

Very quiet, located on the outskirts of Longkan Wharf, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Cangshan Mountain, offering exclusive views of sunrise and sunset. When tired, you can quietly stroll along the nearby farmland paths, relax, and breathe in the fresh, natural air.

The room is located on the edge of the village, offering a very open view of the Cangshan Mountains all day long. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach. The old town is also just a 10-minute ride away by electric scooter, avoiding traffic jams in the alleys. Breakfast includes rice noodles cooked by the landlady, which are quite delicious. You can cook your own meals on the first floor.

Because we needed to check in early, we received a free room upgrade. The room was spacious with a lovely floor-to-ceiling window offering a view of Cangshan Mountain. The room was also very clean and had a bathtub. I hadn't noticed the disposable bathtub liners in the cabinet beforehand, so I ordered one myself, and they were placed in such an inconspicuous spot 🤣 I didn't even think to check the cabinet. The location is very convenient; it's a few minutes' bike ride to Erhai Lake and a short taxi ride to the Old Town. When I inquired about renting electric bikes, they even recommended a reliable chain store, which was really helpful 👍🏻. However, I think they could add more variety to the breakfast selection. Only having rice noodles isn't ideal for young children. I chose this place because reviews mentioned both Chinese and Western breakfasts, which seemed suitable for babies. Now they only offer rice noodles, which my baby can't eat at all. When traveling, we definitely want our children to have a good breakfast before leaving the house. I hope the management can consider this suggestion.

On my first day in Dali, although the place was located in a village, it was very close to Erhai Lake, just a short walk away. The environment was a pleasant surprise; there was a large backyard right at the foot of the mountain, and the shop had adorable cats and dogs. Staying here was a truly wonderful experience.

The guesthouse service was excellent, with a personal butler who was almost always there to help. The location was also great, very close to Longkan Wharf, and you could see the sunrise just by walking through the alley.

Facilities: The guesthouse room was impeccable. I booked a room with a 180-degree window view; the room was spacious and fully equipped. They even thoughtfully provided a toilet seat cover, bathtub film, disposable sewing kit, and earplugs (I really didn't expect that, very considerate!). Environment: The surrounding environment was expansive. There was a lawn and tents on the first floor. Breakfast offered two options: rice noodles and ersi (a type of rice noodle). Transportation: There was a small electric scooter rental point nearby; they had a partnership with the owner, so you could get around by electric scooter. It was a 15-minute walk to the beach. I would definitely go again next time.

The TV in the room was quite large, and it was very comfortable to watch while lying down. The balcony offered a view of Cangshan Mountain, and it wasn't far from the pier. Overall, it was a good place!

We stayed for two days, but on the second day, they wouldn't give us new disposable items; we had to ask. The two disposable toothbrushes we received were already opened. The owner was very nice, and the service was good. Laundry was convenient. The room lighting was a bit dim, and the bedding on the second floor wasn't white, so it seemed like it hadn't been changed. We ended up using disposable four-piece bedding ourselves.
