Portakal Hotel Dalyan

What a brilliant hotel The breakfast is superb the coffee machine is the best. The rooms are lovely. The pool is great The staff all round are very friendly Big shout to the barman and doorman. It's got a great garden The barman likes card tricks and he is pretty good at backgammon when he has time. You can hire electric scooter from the town and localy Day boat trips are 10 yards away Super holiday hotel. Oh and the local beer is great

Great location away from the incessant holiday music in the town centre, good sized lovely room, kind and friendly staff and a salt water swimming pool long enough get a few strokes in. Breakfast had all the usual plus different daily pastries/hot choices, fruit and the tastiest tomatoes, cucumbers and olives. The area is surrounded by pomegranate orchards so hoping to head back when they’re ready to pick. We had a fantastic week and planning on two in the same place next time.

Well this was one of the best hotels we could have selected when we choose to come to Dalyan. When it says you are right by the river, you are. They're are ferry boats to take you across the river or down the river to the beach and all for a minimal amount of money. The breakfast that was presented every day was vast and varied to suit everyone. It's only a B & B but they serve snacks and meals for a small cost. Reception staff were very helpful and carried our suitcases upstairs as there isn't a lift. The hotel has ample sunbeds and a beautiful garden with every kind of relaxing seating you can think of, from a bean bag to a hammock and swing seat and more sunbeds, wooden gazebos, table and chairs with superb cushions for comfort. The owners are wonderful, friendly people and mix very well with the guests and sit at the bar and chat. The barman Ram, or Sam as my husband called him, was very friendly, we played card games with him at the bar and there was a back gammon competition going on between him and my husband. He let us hire his electric scooter/ car to get around as I twisted my ankle while I was there. The cleaning staff and gardeners do an amazing job of keeping everywhere clean and presentable. The area is very peaceful and there are lots of restaurants and bars 10 mins down the road. Everywhere is cheap to eat or drink out and every restaurant we went to, the food was plentiful and reasonably priced and all very friendly and welcoming, especially the Limon Tree. We will definitely go back to this hotel and looking at maybe October when it's not too hot.

Lovely place . Staff brilliant. Mahmet front manager is a gentleman. All staff very friendly. Cannot find any fault. Rooms spacious nice veranda. Would definitely recommend. Bar staff great and again funny. There is nothing to dislike come here and you won’t be disappointed.

Just got back from a 4 night break at Dalyan Portakal Hotel , beautiful! Stunning hotel with a lovely garden attached to use which we sat in most evenings! About a 15 minute walk to get right into the centre but a very easy walk which we did numerous times a day. Right by the river and easy to hop onto a boat to the beach Lovely staff , cannot fault anything x

Stayed at the Portakal Hotel for 8 days. What a lovely hotel. Newly refurbished rooms which were very comfortable and spacious. Mehmet on reception was so helpful and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Ramz on bar was terrific and great fun to talk to. Owner Meta introduced herself and was always around if needed. Breakfast was abit scarce some days but considering there was only 7 of us in hotel out of season there was sufficient food . Would definitely recommend. Garden area great to chill out and pool great too.

How is this place only 3*??? This hotel is by far one of the most authentic, quaint -hotels I’ve stayed in. The vines on the terraces, the river literally on the doorstep, the beautiful clean rooms, the helpful & friendly staff, the central location, the garden (that I loved to sleep the afternoons away in on the hammock)…. I honestly could go on - everything mentioned was PERFECT!!! Dalyan town is minutes walk away and has everything you need. Every bar and restaurant you walk past, you’re greeted with a smile and a wave. Gone are the days abroad where they will drag you in and hound you to get into their establishments. Wasn’t hustled or mithered by anyone, anywhere. Was literally met by happy workers, locals and holidaymakers every place we visited. If you want a holiday that makes you emotional as it’s so beautiful and seemingly untouched with originality but has endless choice of places to eat, chill and watch the world go by venues. Look no further than Dalyan. Extra bonus for me was all the cats that live as strays are treated humanely, given names by the restaurants and fed daily by the restaurants. I’m a massive animal lover and to see none suffering and looking well-loved melted my heart. I didn’t have a meal anywhere without a little kitty cuddle (the cats leave you alone unless you approach them). Needless to say I was picking them up and they would sit with me for hours and I was in my element. I will be visiting again and of course wouldn’t stay anywhere else other than Portakal hotel

What a stunning property! The gardens are beautiful and overlook the river. The pool area is bright and clean with lots of sunbeds and a bar. The hotel is spotless and the staff are kind, friendly and professional. A big thank you to the guy on reception! Breakfast is standard Turkish and good. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with good quality linen and a decently sized bathroom. Book a terraced room downstairs if you like to sit out , as upstairs rooms have no balcony. It is a pleasant walk into town in April, but may be a bit too far to walk in the heat of July and August. We will certainly stay again!
