The Blue Lantern Inn is such a special spot. The ocean view is breathtaking, the activity in the harbor is lively and fun, the breakfast is superb, the rooms are bright and quaint and absolutely lovely, the location is outstanding....you've just got to go! It's a great spot for a getaway!

Wonderful hospitality, cleanliness, and quiet in this adorable inn! We enjoyed an ocean view room. The staff was friendly, responsive, and knowledgable. Great location for access to Dana Point Harbor and Lantern District. We would definitely return!

Wonderful in every way! Great service; magical location; excellent amenities and room experience! Always feels like a second home...The Lantern Inn always exceeds expectations and leaves one with a yearning to return. The location is perfect.

The property is perfectly situated with views of the pacific ocean and Dana Point Harbor. It is a short walk to dining, shops in Dana Point and the Harbor.

We had a nice stay at the Inn in celebration of our wedding anniversary. The wine & cheese reception and the breakfast buffet were lovely. The common areas and grounds were tastefully decorated nicely kept. Our room was very pleasant with a partial view balcony. The property is beautiful but is starting to show its age. There were areas under the windows that showed water damage and several of the jets in the jacuzzi tub were not working, causing them to make terrible sounds when turned on. The area right in front of the inn was fenced off for some kind of maintenance/construction, which was a bummer for the aesthetics. In any case, we had a special time watching the lightning storm roll through at the Blue Lantern Inn!
