The room is good, with a view at the door, which is the characteristic of the castle hotel. The service is good, the room is clean, and the space is large. The interior decoration of the room is very classic and very atmospheric.

For the price point 1 night dinner bed breakfast Double room 2 fish and chips lunch 580 euro MUCH BETTER VALUE TO BE HAD OUT THERE! We hopped on a short train ride from waverly : No taxi came for an hour the hotel sent it to wrong station :They complimented us 2 drinks but added 5 pounds service charge on to serve us fish and chips! : Allocated end room where they empty the bar bottles and delivery van turns up outside window at 8am! Needed some DEF TLC The room. Why would you allocate this room when hotel half empty? :Reception girl did her best but she was short handed we had pre paid our room it was on the bill , we owned up to 2 x dinners that were not on our bill : breakfast room,food excellent but they work from behind a screen where you can here all goings on ! : Bar is best great barman service and atmosphere Dinner very good Finally noted a wedding had been on day before weeds around entrance to marquee easy to see no management around at all. Just lacking in attention.Its a shame

Excellent experience. Feels like you are the lord of the manor. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast very good. We stayed in a standard room which was comfortable and spacious. The grounds are well presented although very wet when we stayed. Handy for Edinburgh as a park and ride was only two minutes drive away. I had a whiskey flight in the bar which came with a personal guide to the drinks by a very knowledgeable bar man, well worth £20. Stay here for a special treat and you won’t be disappointed.

Great service. Beautiful castle and grounds. We were there for a wedding and were most impressed with the overall experience. Even after there was some initial confusion around room allocation the team dealt with it swiftly and professionally.

My husband and I stayed here. It’s a pleasant peaceful castle with very easy access to Edinburg (taxis about $35US one way). There’s a sense of history and iconic castle vibe. Dinner was quite good but reserve your time in morning if there’s an event.

This boutique castle Hotel stay was so much fun. There was a problem with my reservation but the desk clerk Rita went above and beyond and sorted it beyond our expectations. Jill- one of the staff in the dining room provided excellent service and was so very friendly - the staff treats you like family. The grounds are Beautiful and the castle itself feels true to its theme. The food was delicious as well. All in all a wonderful way to end my 2 week adventure in London and Scotland!!!
