Twyford Farm B&B

A beautiful old cottage with many original features and a lovely a**osphere. Excellent hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Cooked breakfast was lovely. All surrounded by beautiful scenery!

Recently returned from a 3 night break at Twford Farm B&B while researching my wife's family in that part of Sussex. Twford Farm is a working farm (cattle and sheep) situated in the Ashdown Forest. The farm is down some narrow roads. but easy to find from the main roads. The room (Balcombe) is on eof three en-suite rooms - spacious with good quality bedding and a very large bath / shower en-suite (which had good sized bath towels, and quality toiletries. Very tranquil. patio outside where you can sit and watch the sheep. There are walks direct from the farm. I would rate the cooked breakfast as one of the best I have had over the years. Scrambled eggs (choice of eggs cooked) , bacon, sausage, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, and black pudding. Did not have the baked beans that were also on offer. There are other options of cooked breakfast. A wide choice of cerals, yogurts. Good qulaity toast, variety of teas and percolated coffees. The hosts Bob, and Liz are lovely, very cheerful, and happy to have a chat, plus recommend places to eat nearby. Plenty to do withn a short distance including several National Trust properties, villages the coast and countyside. Wi fi coverage can be a bit varied, but not an issue for us. Thoroughly recommend for quality of a B&B, location, and a relaxing stay. The price is excellent value for the level of accomodation, facilities, and breakfast.

Our first visit to the area, and to the B&B and we loved it. A beautiful setting, clean and spacious room (bedroom, sitting room, kitchen and en suite bathroom) and excellent breakfast with friendly and efficient service. The farm was a little difficult to locate, but well worth the effort. The setting is very quiet, even the sheep didn't seem to make any noise during our stay.

Lovely stay whilst visiting the Bluebell Vineyard. Very tucked out of the way and peaceful. With comfy rooms and lounge. Good choice for breakfast too. Worth a stay. Some nice options for walking with stunning views.

Liz and Bob are the most kind hosts possible. Beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast. Quiet, clean rooms. Fantastic British B&B, surrounded by beautiful country- ideal for short and long walks. 10+, highly recommended!

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly host into the very old farmhouse with amazing features. Our room was excellent, very clean and well equipped. The bed was so comfortable, that I wanted to take it home with me. The breakfast were delicious, especially the scrambled eggs!!!! This place took a bit of finding but it was so worth it.

We booked Twyford farm just as a place to stay before our flight from Gatwick the following day, however quickly fell in love with the place. Upon arrival Bob was extremely welcoming and explained where the nearest pub was if we wanted a drink or some home cooked food. The room was spacious, clean and quaint. The bed extremely comfortable. The views from the windows were everything you could want from a farm. Fields of sheep on one side, yet not to close, with lambs and calves on the other and backdrop of trees. The full English breakfast provided by Liz was large and flavoursome. We feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon such a peaceful and beautiful farm. We will be returning.

We stayed here for two nights. It is a beautiful tranquil location. The room was roomy! and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. For some the down side might be the lack of a phone signal but the wifi is good so for us it was no problem. Thoroughly recommended.
