Blue Marlin Beach Resort

Blue Marlin is truly a family run resort (in the most positive way)! I spent a week with my son diving the reef and the care and attention we received from the staff was amazing! The staff is passionate about delivering a great experience and went out of their way to make sure that happened. Diving- Each site is really close and we were diving by ourselves all the time Food- The food is very good and the chef is passionate about how to make our experience the best Resort- The resort is very well maintained and beautiful

I have never seen a more caring,friendly and accommodating staff! Food was amazing,especially the baked goods! Snorkeling was very exciting… lots of giant rays . Our cabana was well equipped with towels and was tidied every day! We should have stayed longer. We will definitely come back!

We did 2 dives off the resort with their excellent dive master Stacy. Spectacular dives! Sharks, turtles, eagle rays, and so much more. Can't wait to come back for a long stay! We will definitely include in our next Belize adventure. Enjoy and have fun!

The moment stepping off the boat onto the island it felt like I was in a dream. Friendly Blue Marlin Staff greeted us with delicious drinks(made by Sasha, mixologist guru)and warm towels for our faces(from Estella, amazing waitress). Walked a short 5 minutes to our ocean front cabana and quickly realized we could see the Barrier Reef only 25 yards out. We were lucky to catch the epic sunset from the outdoor seating area while enjoying the tastiest food ever. My husband and I enjoyed our daily snorkeling around the docks(in warm, great visibility water), where we saw a wide variety of fish. And relaxing at our cabana listening to the sounds of the palm trees rustle through the wind with the sun soothing our souls. Received a very relaxing oceanside massage while my husband went out and explored the reef on the s.u.p. Had fun learning about the history of the resort and island from the owner Roselia and laughing while I picked out souvenirs from their great selection. We went on 3 snorkel trips out to the reef, longest boat ride was 10 minutes. Captain Tommy, Guide Moses, Johnny, Staci and Mike all made me feel so at ease. Safety was their top concern while we were in the water and they were always in sight if we needed help. There is so much more to say about this place that make it very special for husband and I. But would encourage those looking for a relaxing, fun, safe, memorable, beautiful, personalized, non touristy, and truly authentic experience, consider making the journey here. It is worth every car, plane and boat ride to get there. I left Blue Marlin Resort not only with the most amazing memories that I will treasure for years to come with my husband but left feeling like I gained a second family. This was our third visit to Blue Marlin. It was again a wonderful snorkeling adventure with great accommodations and an amazing staff. We went snorkeling twice a day and had an amazing time with each outing. Snorkel guide Ajani was fun and great at spotting reef creatures big and small. Captain Tommy made sure we were in safe areas, even when the water was a little rough. A curious turtle swam over to us and circled around us; two manatees decided they needed to check us out; several eagle rays passed close by; nurse sharks and other rays were often spotted. The food was really good. A few times staff caught fish while we were out snorkeling: the fish (hogfish, snapper, lobster) thrown in the boat during the day is what we ate that evening! Estellita, Maggie, Elias, Louis, Sasha, Michael and the rest of the staff always take great care of us. We can't wait until we get to go back.

I cannot say enough how wonderful all the staff was. I would like to give a shout out to Stacy, Fred, and chef for beating us in pool. The diving experience was great lead by Stacy, Moses, and Joe. I can only call Blue Marlin at South Water Caye a paradise. If you truly want to have a wonderful time Scuba Diving or just being pampered visited Blue Marlin.

We spent 10 days in paradise at the Blue Marlin which is conveniently located on the Belize Barrier Reef. Having travelled extensively to many Caribbean Islands and stayed in 5-star resorts , this one really it the mark! So much so we have booked a return visit for this month. The Staff: The absolute BEST hospitality ever! Rosella and her team made us part of the resort family the minute we arrived. The Accommodation: We stayed in Cabin #17. Very comfortable 5-star bed, nice size, great privacy and no WiFi. It's really therapeutic a great way to decompress and if really need to connect, the restaurant has a high-speed connection. The Meals: Certainly without a doubt, the very best we've had in our travels including "5-star" restaurants. The only resort we've been to where the menu is limited to one or two choices but it works because the food is without exception, so good! The Snorkelling: The best in the Caribbean! The Barrier Reef is so beautiful and alive it is truly humbling and other-worldly. The staff knew exactly where to get the best experience, dodging the weather and ocean currents. They are professionals by every definition. If you're expecting a franchised resort experience, you won't find it here. What you will find is one-of-a-kind experience that is truly exceptional.

If you're looking for a beautiful, quiet, relaxing experience this place is it. The snorkelling was fantastic. Even when the weather was iffy, they did everything to try and get in two snorkel sessions. The fact that it's so close to the various reefs means more flexibility. The cabana was comfortable. I especially enjoyed the hammock on the porch! The food was amazing. However, the people at the resort elevated the experience. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I'm hoping to return.

My trip to Blue Marlin was perfection. Our room was spotless and comfortable, dining was relaxing and delicious, snorkeling was AMAZING and the tiny island was exactly what we were hoping for. We’re off the beaten path travelers but more “outsidey” than outdoorsy. Blue Marlin was just the right amount of comfort and adventure. We considered other places to stay on south water caye but I’m so glad we stayed at Blue Marlin. No, there’s no beach on the immediate property for wading but there’s beach access just a short walk away. I promise you won’t miss it! Do prepare for the sand fleas and take lots of bug spray- they show no mercy! It’s been a month since our trip and I am still missing morning coffee looking out over the water. The staff even surprised us with a very special anniversary dinner and cake. No detail is overlooked - Blue Marlin is an absolute treat.
