Thatch Caye Resort a Muy'Ono Resort

We came to celebrate our long delayed honeymoon (18 years later) and have never been to an all inclusive experience. From the second we got off the boat I knew it was going to be everything I hoped for. The staff were so genuine and friendly. Nothing was fake or put on, they really cared about you having a great time and who you are. The food was awesome. Every. Single. Meal. Oscar was the Chef and he was outstanding. Shakira and the other waiter (so embarrassed I don't remember his name) were so kind and thought of things before I knew I needed it. Daniel the bartender was an incredible mixoligist and great conversations. Our hut over the water was perfect. The island had everything we needed. We did the snorkeling, Mayan ruins, cave tubing, massage (Reyna and Noelia were magic angels. We did it twice because the 1st was so wonderful), and the moonlit boat cruise. All were 100% worth every dime. I cannot say enough of how I felt not like just another guest like I imagine the case in the big Sandles type resorts. It was not the Ritz but I felt pampered and relaxed without all the uppity, up-tight snooty stuff. It was very eco friendly and I really appreciated that because the natural environment was so breathtaking. The composting toilet smell wafted by a few times while walking to the main area or back to our hut but only briefly and never while inside. I loved it. Every minute. Thank you to all the staff who made our anniversary/honeymoon unforgettable.

We loved our stay of three nights at this resort (and were sorry we didn't stay longer). It was very relaxing being on a relatively small island with the ocean all around us. The communal meals and hanging out at the pool bar in the evenings gave us a chance to meet many other interesting guests, and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of paddle boards to use (kayaks too, although we prefer paddle boards), as well as a sailboat we took out one day. We also took a snorkeling excursion, which we really enjoyed. The food was very good (we're vegetarians, and they were happy to accommodate us.

This is an amazing place and one you should just go ahead and book now. The staff made us feel like VIPs from the moment we were greeted in Belize at the airport. This place is off the grid but all of the creature comforts you need. Food was wonderful!

Went for a day trip and had so much fun! Seriously considering actually staying there next time, because those over-water bungalows looked incredible. We had enchiladas for lunch there, which I loved, and they had gluten-free and dairy-free options to accomodate for all of my friends. Beware the dogs tho, they're so cute you're going to want to stay there forever playing with them!

We had out our second annual Pilates Wellness Retreat here and the island is so magical, the staff incredible and the digital detox is priceless!

We started our trip extremely stressed as the airline neglected to put my partner's checked luggage on the plane. This was his first time traveling internationally and hadn't realized he shouldn't check medications. When we first discovered his luggage wouldn't get to us for multiple days- we were planning to cut our trip short. Then Thatch Caye's staff member Kamau came to the rescue! He was able to secure my partner's medication through a local pharmacy and had it delivered right to the island for him! We were absolutely stunned. He truly moved heaven and earth to make our trip enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kamau! Besides Kamau's award wining attention to the guests, the entire resort is lovely. Very well maintained- every morning you will see folks raking and tidying up the island. Also, I've been to other all inclusive places where the food is institutionalized and the drinks are weak. Neither is true at Thatch Caye! Food was always fresh ingredients, delicious and the drinks were respectfully strong. We will be back! With carry on bags only, lol.

Our honeymoon at Thatche Caye resort in Belese surpassed all expectations! Kamu and Luis, the attentive managers, ensured every detail was perfect. Junior and Daniel crafted delightful drinks, adding to the vibrant a**osphere. Special thanks to Oscar, the talented chef, who accommodated my wife's gluten allergy with delicious alternatives. From the stunning views to the exceptional service, every moment was pure perfection. Highly recommend this slice of paradise for an unforgettable escape!

Gorgeous location, comfortable accommodations, excellent staff! I'd go again. The beds were comfortable, the food was excellent and the options for excursions varied from low key to very exciting. Special thanks and shout out to Luis, Kamau, Darvin, Charles, Daniel, Monique an Oscar!
