The staff here is very nice (shout out to Kevin who has always been considerate & helpful), but the hotel is run down, the rooms in desperate need of updating & a VERY thorough cleaning. We stayed here 2 nights in May (before & after a cruise) out of convenience. We would not stay here again. Cost to ride the shuttle to the cruise terminal is $20/pp. We could've taken a taxi or Uber for 1/2 that cost. Speaking of cost - the cost of a room here doesn't match the what you get in return. Also, the cook finds it necessary to come out & address the breakfast crowd about leaving a good review for the hotel & "demands" your attention/interaction while she talks about guests being EXTENDED FAMILY. While it might seem cute & endearing, she jabbered on for about 10 minutes on 2 different occasions when people are trying to check in/out, eat breakfast, watch the news, have a conversation, etc... Marriott (as a brand) typically has nice accommodations, in this case not so much. Next time we'll know better.
