Wir waren 3 Ehepaare und haben 3 Tage über Silvester im Hotel Bastenhaus verbracht. Es waren super tolle Tage. Programm, Essen(Geschmack und das Auge isst mit, super), Personal, Ambiente einfach toll! Man merkt, dass sich das Personal wohl fühlt und das spürt man als Kunde sofort. Das Hotel liegt abgelegen, in ruhiger Umgebung, der Wellnessbereich ist einfach, aber sauber. Immer wieder gerne!

Nice place to stay. Great breakfast with outside seating and fresh squeezed orange juice. The rooms are spacious though may need an update. Dinner is ok, the fish I ordered was to dry. staff is friendly. You can rent mountain bikes in the hotel. I would not say it is a four star hotel but a good place to stay.

Sehr freundliches Personal, geniales Frühstücksbuffet, schöne Saunalandschaft, einsam gelegen mit schönen Wandermöglichkeiten direkt vom Haus aus. Der Außenbereich mit Pool muss im Sommer traumhaft sein, das schauen wir uns bei Gelegenheit mal an. Unser Zimmer (Nr. 16) bot einen schönen Blick und ein schickes Bad mit Wanne im Raum, wirkte auf uns aber ohne Couch oder Sessel nicht ganz so gemütlich - da gibt es wohl schönere im Haus. Das viergängige Abendessen hat uns recht gut geschmeckt, toll war der offene Wein und preiswert. Insgesamt empfehlenswert insbesondere für Wanderer.

Schönes Restaurant. Personal ist nett, Essen ist gut. Kann man ohne schlechtes Gewissen nochmal hingehen. Es gibt einen schönen Außenbereich. Leider ist es etwas abgelegen, parken kann man aber Vorort gut. Das Bastenhaus kann man ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren als Wandergruppe mit 8 Personen hier für 1 Nacht untergebracht. Das Hotel ist modern eingerichtet, Es gibt einen sehr schön ausgestatteten Saunabereich mit einer Biosauna mit 60 Grad und einer Zirbensauna mit 85 Grad, dazu noch einen Whirlpool. Für die Erfrischung gibt es Zitronenwasser und Nüsschen sowie Trockenobst. Zum Ausruhen findet man einen mit ganz tollen Liegen ausgestatteten Ruheraum. Alles , einschließlich Bademäntel und Saunatücher sind im Hotelpreis inklusive. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam.

Etwa drei Kilometer von Dannenfels liegt der Bastenhof, direkt neben einer Straßenkreuzung am Fuße des Donnersbergs. Eine weitläufige, sehr geschmackvoll gestaltete Grünfläche mit zahlreichen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten inclusive Hängematten sowie ein kleiner Badeteich (ideal nach dem Besuch in der Sauna) und Kinderspielplatz runden das Ganze ab, allenfalls ein wenig getrübt durch den Verkehrslärm der nahen Straße. Am Zimmer mit Badewanne gab es absolut nichts zu mäkeln, und auf Sauberkeit wird offensichtlich im ganzen Haus großer Wert gelegt. Ein Highlight ist gewiss der wundervoll designte Wellnessbereich mit 2 Saunen und Whirlpool, wie man ihn eher selten in Hotels dieser Kategorie vorfindet. Die Qualität der Restaurantküche vermag ebenso zu überzeugen wie die stets hilfsbereite Freundlichkeit des Personals. Fazit: meine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

-Bewertung betrifft nur das Restaurant- Nettes, modernes Ambiente. Sehr höfliches und immer aufmerksames Personal. Speisen wurden zeitgleich serviert und waren sehr lecker. Die Weinkarte ist üppig und auch sonst blieben keine Wünsche offen.
