Hotels in Ocean Flower Island, Danzhou

My recent stay at this five-star hotel far exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were very efficient with check-in and check-out, and they were all incredibly warm and helpful, promptly addressing any requests. The room was spacious and clean, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh food. Overall, it's great value for money and perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure vacations. Highly recommended!

The B&B we stayed in this time was really great! From check-in to departure, every step made me feel extremely comfortable and satisfied. First of all, the location of the B&B is very advantageous. There is the seaside downstairs, the surrounding environment is beautiful, and the transportation is very convenient. It is very convenient to go to Island No. 1. There is a free bus that goes directly! The aquarium and water kingdom save you money on transportation. Secondly, the room layout is very warm, with complete facilities and comfortable beds, making people feel as comfortable as at home. Furthermore, the service at the B&B is also very attentive. The staff are warm and friendly and can always meet our needs in a timely manner. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and I highly recommend it to everyone! Hope to stay here again next time.

I usually don't leave reviews, whether a hotel is good or bad, because I also work in the service industry and understand the difficulties. However, this Hilton hotel really needs to be called out. 1. Upon checking into the room, I found the towels were damp, giving the impression that someone had just used the room or they hadn't been changed. After a moment, I thought it might be because the hotel has its own laundry, and with high usage, they might not have been tumble-dried. So, I contacted the front desk and asked them to replace them. But when I returned after going out, they were still damp. I was too tired to ask for another replacement. 2. Hainan weather is very hot, and I wanted ice water. I put the complimentary bottled water in the mini-bar fridge, but after several hours, it still wasn't cooling. I immediately ordered takeout. The delivery person wasn't allowed to come upstairs, and the hotel didn't have robot delivery. Finally, at my request, the bell staff (I assume) helped deliver it. I later reported the non-working fridge to him, but nothing was done about it. 3. Breakfast was advertised until 10:30 AM. We went down at 9:30 AM because we had a visitor, and we purchased an extra breakfast voucher for them. However, many food items were already gone, and despite waiting for a long time, they weren't replenished. Eventually, I asked for a fried egg and the Danzhou rice noodles that were kept in the back (I didn't understand why people were queuing for noodles when there were plenty of prepared rice noodles not being brought out. I finally told the chef, and he gave me a bowl of Danzhou rice noodles). 4. At lunch, I went to the restaurant alone and ordered pan-fried mackerel and a freshly squeezed fruit juice. I was informed about a 15% service charge, which I accepted since I was ordering. However, there was absolutely no service throughout. If I needed a condiment, I had to go outside to find a staff member. There was no one inside the restaurant. Eventually, I found someone at the concierge desk outside the restaurant and explicitly told her that they were charging a service fee but couldn't even provide a service person. They didn't seem to take it seriously. I also had to find someone to pay the bill. Although the cashier eventually waived the service fee, I feel this shouldn't happen at a Hilton, especially considering there were only three tables occupied in the lobby that afternoon, clearly visible. 5. The hotel has no emergency handling mechanism for forgotten items. Perhaps you were too busy. I forgot snacks I bought. I only remembered after I had already left the island. I immediately called the front desk, asking them to retrieve them so I could drive back to pick them up. When I returned, they still hadn't been brought down. I couldn't get up without a room key. Finally, the bell staff helped me go up to retrieve them, and the issue was resolved perfectly. Later that evening, after arriving in another city and getting ready for bed, I realized I had left my facial cleanser in the bathroom. Thinking it was too late, I didn't call again and simply forgot about it. Days passed, and no one from the hotel called to ask if I wanted it or not. Regardless of its value, the hotel has no system for handling lost and found items. What's the point of having a contact number then? I usually choose Hilton for business trips, but this Hilton is truly subpar. It doesn't even compare to a mid-range Hilton Garden Inn. The room rate and service do not match, and this experience was extremely disappointing.

The guesthouse is located in a residential area with a great location, right next to the Shangdao Bridge, making transportation convenient. Parking is in the underground parking lot with reasonable fees. The rooms are fully equipped, and you can even cook a simple meal. Everything is available nearby, making life convenient. The owner is very helpful and even gave us laundry detergent. Overall, this guesthouse is great.

The hotel location is convenient for taxis, and the front desk staff arranged a high-floor room for us, which offered a great view. The hotel is spacious, and the room was very quiet with good facilities. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering good value for money. This was our first time bringing our family to Ocean Flower Island, and the weather was fantastic. There's an ocean and a beach here, and we had a wonderful time. My elderly family members really enjoyed it.

The Hai Tian Mei Su Design Hotel on Hainan Ocean Flower Island boasts well-equipped rooms, from open kitchens and en-suite bathrooms to refrigerators and dining tables and chairs—everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The separate wet and dry areas and readily available hot and cold water are a thoughtful touch. The balconies offer beautiful sea views, adding to the enjoyment of your stay. However, there are some minor shortcomings that the hotel needs to address. For example, room cleanliness could be improved, and some facilities are not ideal, affecting the overall experience. We hope the hotel will continue to strengthen room management, regularly inspect and maintain facilities, ensuring that every detail meets guest expectations. Furthermore, we look forward to the hotel continuously optimizing room decor and services, such as providing more personalized decorations and thoughtful services, so that every guest feels at home and creates more wonderful memories for their Ocean Flower Island vacation.

The room was very clean, and there were no cockroaches in the basement (this is a foreigner's obsession, I am really afraid of cockroaches, and I would be uneasy if there were cockroaches in the underground parking lot). The service was also good. Ocean Flower Island is suitable for children to play

We went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels. Cleanliness: overall quite clean. Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island. Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced. Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them.
