The location is a bit removed from the city center, and it felt more like a guesthouse than a typical hotel. I really liked the private space surrounding the hotel, which offered a nice sense of seclusion from the outside world.
Amenities include a swimming pool, and it was great to relax in the outdoor areas. It's a paradise for smokers. For meals, only breakfast is served, consisting mainly of bread, milk, Chinese-style noodles (similar to Korean kalguksu), and rice porridge. About 90% of the guests were Chinese, with some Indian and Singaporean guests as well.
As the name suggests, it's a Chinese-owned hotel. Only the general manager spoke English; the other staff did not. If you prefer a quiet place, I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay at HUASHENG , I’m a huge fan of living in a place that feels like home even when on my travels and this hotel felt just like that. Enjoyed swims in the swimming pool and I have to mention that their breakfast was really amazing. Had a wonderful stay and the staff were so welcoming. Would come back any time.

It’s a very calm place not far from city center and the stuff were very cooperative,I would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Dar es salaam

An absolute disaster! The pool was completely neglected, breakfast was a real disgrace and prepared in the dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen. The rooms were extremely small – no refrigerator. More mosquitoes than you can count. Never again. And the boss wasn't there for a Happy Eid celebration. Bookings shouldn't be allowed. The road there is a complete construction site.

The stay was good hotel staff very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Not a fancy hotel yet a very comfortable stay with great food… thank you to the staff for a enjoyable stay.

I ordered a 35,000 shilling pizza from pizza hut, I handed over 40,000 to the hotel staff and he didn't give me back my change, when I asked him about my change later, he said that he forgot to get the change off of the delivery driver. Swimming pool not working either and that's the main reason why I booked in the first place
