Holiday Inn Express DATONG PINGCHENG by IHG

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly. The female staff member upgraded our room, and the male staff member gave us a small gift. We were really pleased with the room – it was spacious, had new facilities, and was very clean, with comfortable bedding. The hotel amenities are excellent. The underground parking was convenient, and the restaurant is one of the best and largest I've experienced in Datong among hotels of the same caliber. The hotel's attention to detail and aesthetic were impressive, and every staff member had a great attitude. The noodle chef in the restaurant was particularly passionate about his work! Take my advice: if you're coming to Datong, you absolutely must choose this hotel, especially if you're driving!

Breakfast was varied and abundant, with both Chinese and Western options, and the freshly cooked noodles and 'daoxiao mian' (knife-cut noodles) were particularly authentic. Whether for a business trip or a family vacation, this hotel offers incredible value for money. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong!

Plus, there was a late-night snack service available. They thoughtfully provided foot-soaking tubs with herbal packs too. The room itself was well-arranged, clean, and hygienic. We left in a hurry and forgot something, but the hotel called to let us know and promptly delivered it to us. Highly recommend this place! We're definitely planning to stay here again next time we visit Datong.
