Heyang Inn (Datong Railway Station Ancient City Branch)

Pros: 1. Excellent location, directly opposite Datong Ancient City and Yangdong Gate, and near the scenic shuttle bus stop. It's very convenient for getting around to various attractions, and after a night tour of Datong Ancient City Wall, it's an easy walk back to the guesthouse. 2. There's a direct bus from Datong South Station, and it's easy to hail a ride-sharing service or taxi right outside the guesthouse. 3. Well-stocked with toiletries, and the complimentary laundry service is very practical. 4. The guesthouse staff are also very friendly. Cons: 1. A bit far from restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies in residential areas, so dining requires a bit of a walk. Lacks some everyday convenience. 2. The bathroom is small, water pressure is low, and the showerhead has issues, making for an uncomfortable showering experience.

I originally booked a king room, but the owner upgraded me. The environment is nice, clean, and the facilities are well-equipped. It's good.

The room is very close to the ancient city, just across one road. You don't even need to cross the street to catch the scenic shuttle bus; it's a two-minute walk, which is very convenient. The room is a bit small but clean.

The hotel is super convenient! Right outside, there's a shuttle stop for tourist attractions, and directly across the street is the Heyangmen ancient city wall. It's only four kilometers from Datong Railway Station, and there's a bus stop right by the entrance. The heating was excellent, and there was plenty of hot water. The room was clean, and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

This was the best hotel of our trip! The front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming. The room was not only affordable but also clean, and it's really close to the shuttle bus for the scenic area. Highly recommend!

The location is fantastic! It's so convenient to catch the direct bus to Yungang Grottoes and the Wooden Pagoda, with the bus stop just a minute's walk from the guesthouse. You can also hang clothes to dry, and there's a fridge and microwave, which is incredibly useful. Plus, the room itself is spacious and clean. On our second day, they even helped us fold our quilts. Highly recommend!
