The hotel is very nice and cosy. The staff mostly is awesome and very friendly. Excellent food at the restaurant and every evening there was a small special thing (bread, soup, etc…). Every evening there was an outdoor fire and cooking in a wood fired oven. The owner is very friendly and ready to help. Food and breakfast are excellent. No western food. For breakfast , there is good coffee available. It is possible to get bread and fried eggs on demand if you don’t like Chinese breakfast. Surroundings are great. You can borrow bikes from the hotel to go around through the rice fields and the mountains. Great place to use a drone if you have one. It was too cold for us but there is a swimming pool on the rooftop with an outstanding view. We visited the Detian water falls and the Gulongshan canyon. To sum up, great place for a family trip or for couples

We had a great stay and were received exceptionally by the ladies at reception. A very stylish and comfortable place sat amongst breathtaking low-lying rice paddies. We were upgraded which was a lovely touch. The ladies also helped us arrange private taxis, covid tests and even lent us two small ebikes free of charge. Highly recommended!

The surrounding area is very lively, with many Vietnamese restaurants and department stores.

Detian Waterfall can take a stroller in, but there are many steps, and it is a bit hard to walk. At present, it is the off-season of the scenic spot, the entrance is newly built, and the scenic spot is also partially under maintenance. My restaurant next to the hotel tastes good and I ate two meals.

Clean bathroom and western toilet. It was a great location for the Mingshi Scenic Area, and about 45 min drive from the Detian Waterfall area. The hotel helped me arrange a driver to take me to Detian and were very friendly. There are several local restaurants around to eat at, plus a Vietnamese coffee shop just 5 minutes walk away. Only downside is the walls are pretty thin and you can hear other people. But overall, it was clean, a good price, and convenient for my travels in Mingshi.
