Holiday Inn & Suites DAYTONA BEACH ON THE OCEAN by IHG

Lovely hotel. Great location and view from room. Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Nice restaurant, lovely food. Loved it all.

Asked for a wake up call, did not receive it. Expected an ocean view, received a parking lot view. Attending young lady could be interested at all. Didn’t receive wake up call, couldn’t call from room to front desk 

The location was great, and the room was spacious. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great stay

Great staff, location, pool, beach access and restaurant. Ben and Lauren were amazing in the bar/restaurant and Chris was amazing to work with at the front desk. This was our 3rd visit and we will continue to recommend it. Everyone is very accommodating.

We stayed here for an event at the Ocean Center and had a great stay! We had an ocean view room with a balcony. The room was clean and spacious. We even saw liftoff of a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral 60 miles south from the balcony which is always thrilling. The waves were soothing at night. Note that during high tide, the beach really shrinks as the waves get pretty close to the seawalls. This hotel is at the end of the driving portion of the beach so not many cars come by as they seem to exit prior to reaching the hotel. The water temp was 71 degrees which was too cold for us Floridians to swim, but tourists were in the water. Parking spots can be tight in places as there are some customers with giant cars and trucks sometimes making it difficult to back out of spaces. The Ocean Center was about a 20-25 minute walk but I would not do it after dark as there are dark spots and some empty store fronts along the way. A negative was that someone was smoking pot on their balcony preventing us from enjoying ours one evening. I reported it to management. I don't want to deal with that on my vacation. I liked ordering off the menu for the included breakfast. The breakfasts were great. A shoutout to Priscilla at the front desk who assisted us with resolving our requested room upgrade issue. She went above and beyond, even bringing us our new room key and offering to help us transfer our gear.

My room was charged $39 for food that I neither purchased nor authorized. I was told by the assistant manager Chris that it would be refunded. He has not refunded the charge and refuses to return a call. I have reported to the BBB and if not cleared up will also be leaving reviews on every social media platform available. I understand when mistakes are made but blatant refusal to make things right is not acceptable. CHECK YOUR HOTEL BILL BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!
