Reviewing Unit 302 listed in Airbnb by Monica as "*NEW*Gorgeous Ocean Front Studio in Daytona Beach! Well it's far from that as amenities listed are incorrect and basically the owner stretches the truth about her unit. No "smart lock" as stated, entry with a lockbox and only one resort & room key is given. Bathroom has mold growth on ceiling, when you shower the tub doesn't drain so you stand in 4" of water. Closet doors are heavy and off the tracks, poor lighting in the unit (none in kitchen) The refridgerator didn't work until our 3rd day there even after notifying the host she never responded. The AC coils were impacted with dust so I had to clean them myself to get some cool air. No small couch to sit in as shown in pictures, just 2 old bar stools that are uncomfortable. Everything is outdated and needs a facelift. The only good thing is the oceanfront view from the balcony. Beware of the $20.00 a day resort fee she slips in at the last moment adding to your bill.

This is the nastiest most run down place I have ever stayed at. There was hair on the tub when we arrived, broken light panel covers, tv would not stay in place when trying to tilt it. The mattress made a loud noise when turning over in bed. The water pressure was like taking a shower under a sprinkler. There was no baking sheet provided for the oven. We were right down by a trash chute which was very loud at midnight. There was not enough room for two people to walk in the kitchen. The second walk in shower would not work due to the cold handle kept turning and would not stop. The vanity lights had so much dirt and rust on them it was disgusting. We ended up checking out a day early because I felt so dirty there. The only reason we did not refuse the room is because we were there for the Daytona race and all the other places were occupied. The manager, John is so rude and not pleasant to deal with. They did not tell us ahead of time they are closing in sept to remodel, they just took our money and let us stay there. Run while you can.

All was well, except when I left, I realized I had left approximately $200 worth of computer accessories in the room. The evening when I arrived home and discovered it, I called. The next day, Aimee called me back to inform me they had my DVD, Electical 7 Hub port, and various cables. I was instructed to get a printed Post Office label for them to return them to me. I physically mailed the Click-N-Ship label. After maybe 2 weeks it had not arrived. John Anderson said he would check at the post office as to why I had not received it. When I look at the tracking number on the USPS website it says it has not received the package. I called several times but no one called me back as to why I have not received my equipment. I finally sent a registered Certified letter so someone would have to sign for it, on December 18, 2023. I requested a payment for the things I had to replace, with a receipt of what I paid for it. After no response from them, I sent another Certified letter to Westgate Resorts, the Resort company that owns them, on January 29, 2024. I have not heard from them either. At this point, The cost of the Click-N-Ship label,$10.95, will not be refunded, because the post office is still awaiting the package. The cost of the Certified letters, $5.25 and $7.40, equalling $12.65, and the equipment. This ordeal has cost me $23.50, to try to get my computer equipment that was left in my hotel room, that was according to Aimee, and John Anderson received and going to ship back to me. I have no other way of looking at this situation, but to believe someone at this resort decided to keep my computer equipment for their own use.

This place is not what their website advertises. I have seen prison halls that were cleaner (in an employment aspect, not as a resident). It looked ok until the elevator doors opened on the floor for our room. We didn’t stay. We are requesting a refund. I was so disappointed as this room was booked for my husband’s birthday getaway.

Great location with easy beach access. We walked everywhere. However... Whatever you do, DO NOT rent unit #213. Both of us are US Army, one active and one retired. It is the worst place we've ever rented. Cleanliness: Where do I begin? The stove top, oven, dishes, pots and pans, shower curtain, hair covered plunger, water stained wall décor… Fortunately, all we did in the unit was sleep, shower and get dressed for the next adventure. The “Amenities”: The refrigerator is older than me. It was white; now is it cracking and yellow. The door frame in between the bedroom to kitchen and living room is all around cracked. Hinges are missing screws and are pulling away from the wall. Just a matter of time before it all falls down. The shower handle has now officially broken off. The first two days, it was a struggle to turn the water on and off. Maintenance arrived and validated our various complaints, but could not act without the owner's approval. To take a shower on our last day, we asked one of the maintenance men for a pair of Vice Grips. That's how we were able to turn the water on and off. Maintenance was able to fix the sliding closet doors; which were both off track. Not really a necessity. Can't truly use the closet. There is too much junk stored in it. Vacasa guest services did the best they could. But in the end, we were stuck with a crap unit. This review is primarily the owner's fault. It is clear they take the money and spend it on themselves. They don't reinvest in the property. But as a “full service” property management company, Vacasa also bears some responsibility. As one who has owned several properties and fired two property management companies, it is a "full service" property management company’s responsibility to ensure rentals are up to standard. Lesson learned, review the management company prior to booking a rental with them. If Vacasa is the property management company, look elsewhere.

Our room was on the disappointing side (Room 107). The decor for the most part was OK but the unit lacked maintenance. The shower drain cover wouldn't stay on and their was no drain plug for the jetted tub. Cleaning: we wished there was access to a broom and dustpan so we could sweep up the floors a bit and regarding housecleaning - don't want to guess what was on top of the fridge in the layers of dust. Liked that small samples of shampoo/conditioner/soap were provided, they smelt nice and there was enough to last the time we were there. It was easy access to the nice pool/hot tub and had a good patio area. Looking at some other patios it would have been nice to have cushions on the seats as to be more comfortable. Also we wished that we knew it was our responsibility to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap and pool towels. The bed was ok but the cheap dowels used as curtain rods did not allow the curtains to close all the way, gaps that made us feel a lack of privacy (especially with being on main floor). Beach access is blocked directly from hotel but there is park right next door so that worked out (can't help seawall damaged from storm but this location was one of the few that had a working pool on that portion of the beach). All in all it worked out for the time we were there but will not be adding this as a future vacation destination. Just wish a little more TLC was put into the unit itself.

We have stayed at various short term rentals in this building over the last few months. While not new, the building is well cared for. Lots of polite staff always working on the building and grounds. The internet is great (we needed to work remotely). We stayed on the 8th Floor (top floor) - views took my breath away every time I opened the door or woke up in the morning. Unit #810 is a small studio, nicely updated & well equipped. Coffee Maker, Nice pots & pans, beach towels & beach chairs. New mattress. I liked how the building is locked at night, but still accessible with key or digital code which changes. Easy walk to Landshark Bar & Grill 2 doors down. An easy Uber to Tanger Outlet Shopping. Pool Deck is beautiful - lots of lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas, grills, and a huge pool. Hot Tub has view of ocean. Reasonable prices. We'll be back.

Poor hospitality no staff long waits for room needs updated ..... .TOO many Keys pros the view Cons Too many to put in this review I Don't make it a habit to go to the media mania but this probably is the worst westgate property I have booked The only redeeming point is the view ... which Is why the property doesn't get called out on all their faults never again

1. The unit was pure filthy - The skirting around the king bed looked as if it was drug through a hog pen The mildew smell in the bathrooms was terrible, along with living area The A/C units filters were saturated with mildew The kitchen sink leaked, when we opened the cabinet below it, there were maggots in water on the cookware. Totally gross!, The sliding door to the balcony, took all the force I had to open it , tracks are wore out. The Fridge had no ice maker, and parts inside it were broken , manager stated they had problems with them so they took them out. We were instructed to get ice from different floors and they were filthy with mildew and dirt build up The second bathroom the toilet constantly leaked The electrical plug ins were wore out sloppy loose, bad connections. Fire hazard! The chairs on the balcony were mildewed , The floor tile was chipped terribly, disgusting The trash shoot at the end of entrance walkway would make you throw up it stunk so bad

As a Westgate owner for over two decades, we had a certain expectation for our first visit to this property….and we’re shocked that this is marketed as a Westgate resort. We only stayed a weekend and just tried to stay positive. The whole facility is outdated and rundown. Our unit was #507 and included a king bed, bath with jacuzzi tub that was raggedy and rusted around exterior. The kitchen appliances were very old and dirty. The second bath with a shower is what we used and again very old, tiny and outdated. Found hair everywhere and just icky, which we cleaned with our own Clorox wipes. The tv was Hubby’s fave as he could watch sports. The balcony had old plastic chairs but adequate for enjoyment the gorgeous views of beach, sunrise, sunset, hearing crashing waves. No privacy between balconies just a low metal bar to separate. The beach access via the public park next door was fine and understandable given the recent hurricane impact. Be aware of the vagrant population during night at public park which keeps the lot open all night. The pool was the best part honestly. It’s November and enjoying a large heated pool was like a slice of heaven. We walked to two restaurants nearby. We never made it to boardwalk but wish we had. Maybe another time. We’ll return to Daytona Beach as our daughter is in college there, just not sure if this property will be remodeled anytime soon. Would be nice if the rooms managed by Westgate would be on the level of its other resorts.
