The front desk staff is overwhelmed and inundated as it seems they are the front desk operator, the plumber, the room issue resolver, the towel check, the food prep.. clearly doing too much. The hotel itself is comfortable and decent. Staff just needs help.. hire more staff! Hot water is wonky, it works in the wrong direction on the faucet.. and takes a while to run warm. The shower pressure is superb. The breakfast was great with choices,, just use a plate to cover your food or a fly will swipe it.

My review 12 days after checking out of the Quality Inn at 55 Lathrop Rd in Plainfield Connecticut. First, be sure to sign up for the FREE Choice Privileges Reward Program right now. At the very least, it will qualify you for preferential parking close to the entrance. I completely forgot I was a member, but thankfully I did earn points after checking out because my info was in the computer system. Personally, I think the staff should have checked the system the day I made my reservations, not after I paid and left... TAKE NOTE... If possible, book your stay on the Choice Hotels website for the BEST price available. In my haste of wanting an air-conditioned room for a couple nights during a Summer power outage at my home, I called the Lathrop Rd facility direct. I did ask the woman who took my reservation if they had a special rate for people experiencing the widespread power outage, which some hotels were doing at the time. She told me the rate she quoted WAS a discounted price, which I'm learning today was almost DOUBLE the rate shown on the Choice Hotels website. Insert disappointed face here. With a power failure, I couldn't access the web to do my homework. I was also NOT informed at check-in that a Continental Breakfast was included with my stay. Due to COVID restrictions, the dining area was not open; but the male clerk did ask me if I wanted to take a breakfast with me. I was caught off-guard and ready to head home, so I declined. Having stayed 2 nights, I missed out on 2 free breakfasts. Speaking for myself and other customers, we don't like being hit in the wallet for ANY reason, which is how I'm feeling after the fact. Now for the good news... This is a two-story building with a sparkling clean outdoor pool, maximum depth 5-feet. I stayed two nights in Room 111, which is at the furthest end of the hallway on ground level. The room was facing the main parking lot. Considering I-395 and the exit ramp are fairly close the hotel, and the fact my room was located near the self-serve laundry, the vending machines and the ice machine, which are all used by the entire facility, noise was not an issue for me. Maybe the air-conditioner muffled the sound? I did hear the person walking in the room above me a few times. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and clean, with one king size bed and a sofa that opened to a bed if needed. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, 1-cup coffeemaker, a full length mirror, an ironing board with a steam iron, and an ice bucket. I liked that the table lamps had electric outlets on their bases for ease in charging my cell etc... The room didn't have a radio/alarm clock, but I didn't need one anyway. Immediately noticeable when entering the bathroom was the very worn finish of the toilet seat, otherwise everything felt and looked clean. The bathroom had a huge wall mirror and a hairdryer. We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn for annual friends reunion for long weekend - arriving Thursday & departing on Sunday. Upon arrival, Chad welcomed us & was most professional & understanding as I tried to use digital key system & I was unable to do/my phone would not accept. Our rooms were very clean & housekeeping was friendly & worked hard to make our stay comfortable with fresh towels & extra coffee we needed. Enjoyed morning breakfasts at location & eggs Benedict special was great with perfect poached egg. We usually change locations every year but agreed we will come back next year!

Large and grand, this hotel is a gem in Southbridge. It's beautiful, comfortable, and the service is very welcoming. I've been staying there for work couple days per week for over two years and it's my home away from home. With the restaurant now open 7 days per week again, it's got everything I need (including pool, gym). BEST VALUE IN THE AREA.

The location of the hotel is still good, very close to the school we want to go to, the parking lot at the entrance is sufficient, the facilities are old and there is no free water available. Bedding is aging and should be updated. More than 500 prices a night, the price is not high. The room is not too nice to look at, so there is no photo, only a window outside the window

First of all, the front desk clerk's service attitude was poor. I arranged the room next to the elevator. I said that I could change one. She said that she could not change it after she sold it out. When I arrived at the room, I found that the blinds were bad. I called the front desk and sent people to see the instructions. The next night we came back from the outside and found that the curtains were not repaired. I went to the front desk and asked why it was that. The young waitress wearing glasses had a very bad attitude. I was not allowed to change the room. She said that she could only switch to the same location on the fourth floor, which means that it was still noisy next to the elevator. Because the curtains of the hotel were broken, they should be responsible for apologizing for not repairing, but the white girl wearing glasses did not apologize. Do not take any measures and actively cooperate with the appropriate room. It is worth mentioning that my favorite travel in the United States is Hampton inn. I am a member of this hotel. I often book a room on the official website of the hotel. This time, because Ctrip is cheaper, I booked it on Ctrip. As a result, I was not expecting such treatment, and I did not encounter this attitude in the same hotel that was booked elsewhere. Therefore, such hotel services can only give bad reviews.
