My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night and enjoyed our stay immensely, from the check in staff to bar staff wonderful, the breakfast is the best I have had anywhere with plenty of freshly made croissant to a freshly cooked full English you will not be disappointed a wonderful stay in a wonderful location well done all

I went with friends as a first stop on my friends stag night, I selected a pint of Whitstable Bay Pale Ale draught. The drink arrived with no head whatsoever and was flat, I had taken just two mouthfuls when I noticed the glass was dirty, I spoke to the barmaid who called her bar manager James to whom I explained the situation and asked if I could have a replacement in a clean glass. Thats how it comes its an ale!! I was told. I explained that I was unhappy as I have had the same drink elsewhere with a head some life and tastein a clean glass, sorely lacking in the pint I'd been served!! I was offered a half pint of something different which I grudgingly accepted not wishing to cause a scene with my friends. In short the treatment I recieved falls woefully short of what I would expect James was in short rude and unhelpful. I and many of my friends will not be frequenting the Bell Hotel in the future. Only in restaurant tonight , food was tasteless service dire and price ridiculous will not be back shocking !!!! Staff couldn't care less didn't even ask seeing most left on plate ..... awful won't be back or recommend can see ehy most people just have a drink and move on ,we didn't know any better !!

The Staff here were absolutely perfect, so polite, so friendly. No complaints. We sat outside in the sun and the location was brilliant. Reasonably priced. Lovely location on the waterfront. Surrounding properties like the Toll House pails in comparison.

Booked on Saturday so we had somewhere for Sunday lunch the next day. Checked website and Sunday lunch was an option so was very disappointed when we got there to find out it was no longer being served due to iy "being the height of summer" That said the food we ordered was good and value for money and the service was good too. Just the website needs to reflect the actual menu

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family in the area. Great location near the centre of town. We booked the Winter Deal, including room and evening meal which was reasonable value for the two of us. The hotel overall is a bit tired and the standard of decor in the room needed a bit of attention. Our room was quite small and due to the good weather was quite warm even with both windows fully open. Staff were great and the quality of food at evening meal and breakfast were very good. Unfortunately would not stay here again.

Had a lovely lunch today at the Bell restaurant, excellent as always, but although I tried several times on different days and times to book a table, nobody answered the phone! To enable a booking I had to go online. Lots of people do not have that facility and given it is a hotel there should be a receptionist available all the time.

Only negatives - seal on glass shower panel needs replacing. Woken by the noise of pigeons
